Stopped here for breakfast while visiting Montreal and really enjoyed it! The food was delicious and the portions were generous. We had to wait quite a while for a table, but the breakfast was worth it! Definitely recommend, just be prepared for a wait.

Eggspectation in Complex Desjardins has been wonderful. Been there for breakfast the previous two days and will be returning for a third time in about seven hours. Their Eggstravaganza is more or less the classic American breakfast done better than any restaurant I've had it in the USA: the scrambled eggs are tastier and more consistent; the bacon is flavorful and cooked properly; the lyonnaise potatoes are delicious, but not nearly as greasy as the potatoes I've had in the States; and the tasty yet light pancakes are the perfect complement to all the other elements in the dish. Had a different server each day, but both times the service was punctual and polite. If there is any criticism to be made it's that the tables upstairs are little close together for me and my personal space issues, but that's not really on them. I am going to miss this breakfast when I return to the States!

Went to Eggspectation for brunch and overall the food was good. We tried the smoked salmon bagel and a breakfast plate, and both were enjoyable. Unfortunately, the service was a little disappointing. It took quite a while for us to be seated and then another long wait for our food. We also noticed tables that arrived after us receiving their food before we did. Our waiter was very nice and friendly, but the service overall could have been more attentive. My boyfriend ordered the bottomless coffee, but no one ever came back to offer a refill, which made the “bottomless” option feel a little pointless. My latte was okay, but nothing particularly memorable. The food itself was good and the staff were pleasant, but the long waits and lack of attentiveness definitely took away from the overall brunch experience.

The name says it all. Huge range of egg and pancake dishes for breakfast. My Benny’s Benedict with smoked beef and a haggle was very good. The poached eggs done perfectly and runny. The cappuccino was a proper one. Service by our waiter Francis was friendly efficient and great. Prices seem perfectly reasonable.

We love this restaurant. Their food is exceptional. Ask for Mark to help you decide your meal. He was most courteous and efficient. The French Toast and Eggs Benedict were the best we have ever had! We hope you make it your favorite, too!

Everything was amazingly good. However there was a purse snatching at the table behind us. Very traumatizing for all around. Keep your belongings close and as securely as possible if sitting outside. Jeepers in a blink of an eye. Security was quick, staff are amazing. It is a big friendly city with city problems.

Very overrated and not recommended. We only tried the coffee, but that was enough for us to cancel our breakfast order. My Americano tasted watery and looked like even worse than gas station coffee , and the extra-hot cappuccino we specifically requested came out cold with a bad taste. For a brunch/café with nearly 2,000 reviews, this was extremely disappointing. If a café can’t get basic coffee right, we didn’t want to risk our last breakfast in Montreal here.
