I humbly asked for a glass of hot water, but it was never brought to me. Meanwhile, my friend received his drink and was even asked whether he wanted another one. I was never asked again if I needed anything to drink. I’m not sure how to interpret this experience, but the service felt disappointing.

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious smoked meat sandwich with a poutine, and we highly recommend it! Our daughter enjoyed a Caesar salad with grilled chicken and I was surprised to notice it even had capers, very well done!!! They serve Pepsi products, but some people like that option.

Everyone very friendly. The waiter recommended a medium fat smoke meat sammy and the cherry cola. And it did not disappoint. The sammy was big and juicy. But the cola really topped it off. Portions are huge and service was great. We had a smoked meat, hot dog, chicken honey mustard salad and a grilled cheese and everyone loved their meals. Kids meals came with ice cream and chocolate sauce which was a nice touch.

This place is a gem. Best Montreal smoked meat sandwich ever. Poutin is good too. Highly recommend stopping by. Been in business since 1927 I stop here everytime im in town.

Came here for the smoked meat, never deceived. Smoked meat egg rolls are something you never see anywhere else. I recommend them.

Tasty and delicious sums it up. I almost missed this spot! I originally went for a more famous place, but the long line + rain sent me to Dunn’s on a hotel recommendation—and what a win. Just a 5-minute wait while they set up for my wheelchair. The smoked meat platter was tender and full of flavor, the coleslaw was fantastic, and that warm molten chocolate chip cookie with ice cream? Next level. I came back the next day for the carbonara—loved it—and again today for fish & chips. Consistently great food, efficient and friendly bilingual service, and always busy but never a long wait. Very nice and cozy restaurant! We visited from Toronto and tried their classic poutine. It was very yummy, I would recommend adding more cheese curds if you’re ordering! Also, the portion sizes are HUMONGOUS!! 1 plate can be shared by 2 people! Very nice atmosphere, and the servers are very nice!

I always have a good experience at Dunn’s Famous and this visit was no different. I got a salad and it was actually so delicious. What really stood out though was our server — I unfortunately forget his name, but he was working overnight and had tattoos. I told him I have a gluten intolerance and he was super reassuring and made me feel really comfortable ordering. He went above and beyond for our table, gave great recommendations for the smoked meat sandwiches, and handled everything so well even while dealing with some difficult customers. Amazing service honestly. He definitely deserves recognition. Will 100% be back.
