HORRIBLE! Awful experience…twice. We ordered a white wedding cake for a pre-wedding ceremony and they gave us a BROWN cake instead. They kept saying it is not brown, but a “beige” cake, so didn’t even offered a compensation. They told us that it is impossible to have a white cake, it is always a gamble with almond paste but they will give me a discount if I order from them for my actual wedding and promise a white cake. A few days before my wedding, I didn't get any news from them and called to make sure that my wedding cake will be white this time. They threatened me saying that if I don’t trust them, they will cancel my order 6 days from my wedding. They were supposed to call me back to confirm if my order is still on for my wedding but they never did. I kept calling each day in hope to speak with someone. A bride shouldn’t experience this kind of stress and it is even more disappointing that it is from a luxury restaurant like Duc de Lorraine. When I was finally able to speak with someone asking for a reimbursement due to lack of professionalism, I got insults and disturbing comments. Even the reimbursement process was difficult. It seems like I can’t post screenshots of conversations but when I explain how disappointed I was they wrote back: “I don’t read long messages. Send this to your friends”. When I told them that I haven’t got the e-transfer yet, they wrote “Stop harassing.” “The stupid game you’re playing” “Be happy you’re getting married”. For every soon to be bride, please don’t ever order a wedding cake from them. They are not reliable, unprofessional and rude.
