Elegant and welcoming atmosphere. The pastries and desserts are fresh, delicate, and beautifully made. Everything tastes high quality and authentically French. I had breakfast there with friends and truly enjoyed the experience. Highly recommended!

Incredible croissants and pastries. Very pricy but delicious!
The place is amazing and the food is very delicious. Sajjad made us the best drinks. Overall the service is incredible.10/10 would definitely recommend!
Amazing experience. Sajjad was our waiter he is very welcoming and accomodated all our requested. Will def come back
Food was fantastic and the desserts! We came back the next morning. So many pastry options- our large group tried a variety and enjoyed every single order. For the meal, O had steak and frites- it was delicious! And the shrimp pasta was savory, not over-the-top with sauce, and loved that none of these dishes were too salty like restaurants I’ve encountered in California. Charli (not sure if I spelled his name correctly), our server, who works at night was fantastic and hilarious! He managed several tables and our large 15 people party well! Our group enjoyed our time very much and had a wonderful, lovely dinner.
Overrated cafe with poor quality desserts and drinks Stopped by here because of all the great reviews and simply did not understand the hype. The desserts looked unpolished and tasted mediocre. Had the highly recommended mille feuille and the custard had an intense egg taste, whatever the dessert is topped with tasted like a very sugary fondue layer, and it didn’t feel like the mille feuille was fresh. The plain croissant and the pain au chocolat were pretty good and would be the only things I’d maybe recommend here. Espresso and americano were awful as the beans were burnt, the price is insane for that kind of quality. Staff were awesome and you can tell they put in a lot of effort to ensure the service is great. However the place was very chaotic as there’s no proper guest management/directions, so everyone is trying to figure out how to order takeout and where to go for dine in. Wouldn’t bother coming here again, there are so many better french pastry/dessert places in Montreal
Delicious pastries! You walk in and feel the french vibe!
Food was amazing! Sajjad was an efficient and kind bartender/server! He gave great advice on what to eat.
I highly recommend this place. It felt like I was in Europe ! 😍
Duc de Lorraine is a beautiful Parisian-style pastry shop that offers an amazing selection of high-quality desserts and pastries. We tried a variety including croissants, trompe-l’œil pastries, and macarons, and everything was visually stunning and delicious. The almond chocolate croissant was absolutely incredible—soft, smooth, rich, and perfectly chocolaty with a sweet almond flavor that melts in your mouth. The raspberry cheesecake-filled croissant was also very good, with a nice balance of fruity and creamy flavors. The mango trompe-l’œil pastry was another highlight—creative, fresh, and beautifully presented. We also tried a selection of macarons, which were tasty and well-made with great texture and flavor variety. Overall, the quality and presentation are excellent, and the experience feels very premium. The only downside is that the prices are a bit on the expensive side. It would feel even better value if either the portion sizes were slightly larger or the pricing was a bit more affordable. Still, it’s a wonderful place for anyone who loves French pastries and elegant desserts—definitely worth trying at least once.
Gorgeous French pastry galore!! Croissants and lattés on a warm and sunny Sunday in a outside café in Montréal doesn't get any better than this!
It’s my favorite pastry shop! Their coffees are top three in town and you will feel like you are in old France once stepping into the shop.
The sushi there is so delicious
Beautiful Paris inside Montréal. From food to ambience, everything reminded be of being in Paris. Our server Sajjad was very friendly, polite and suggested great food and drink options. Their desert collection is what will keep me coming back!
Great service by Frank
Amazing choice of best pastry masterpieces! Rafaad was on the top of morning ! Thank you very much!
First time eating here and the food was good however the female manager late 20’s early 30’s (no uniform) dark hair long (Sunday April 26 afternoon) was SO RUDE and UNWELCOMING, in that industry a smile goes a long way.
I had a great experience at Duc de Lorraine in Montreal. I ordered the beef tartare and mentioned that I’m gluten sensitive, and they were very accommodating, swapping out the bread for radishes and cucumbers without any issue. The portion of beef was quite generous, and the flavour was absolutely on point, fresh, well seasoned, and really well balanced. Overall, a great spot with thoughtful service. I’d definitely come back.
I’ve been here a few times for dessert and coffee, and it’s been amazing every time! The desserts are so delicious, with lots of variety to choose from, and the staff are warm and friendly. The prices are a bit higher than other spots, but for me, it’s worth it for the quality every once in a while.
I saw this place recommended on social media, but the taste was honestly disappointing. The mango cake’s cream was far too watery—almost like liquid. The other cake was better, though. That said, the staff were very friendly and the service was great.
Rafaad was great!!! Thank you so much
Great
Marci was awsome
Great breakfast—“bowl” of cafe latte, samples the quiche and pastries. Pure magic! Great service by Raffaad.
