It’s my second time in Montreal and I knew I had to be back and get the gnocchi again. 10/10 did not disappoint, still as good as the first time O tried it Portion size is also good for what it’s worth
What guests say about Drogheria Fine
The reviews are very favorable for the gnocchi, often described as tasty, comforting, and very affordable, with good value for money. Several people highlight the fast and courteous service, as well as the classic and unique feel of the experience. One thing to note, however: there is no indoor seating, and payment is by cash or Canadian debit only, which may surprise visitors.

This place is cash only, no card payment.
What a gem. Ran into this place with a bunch of folks outside on our way to finding Fairmount bagel (which also has awesome bagels). We were wondering what everyone was eating, and saw that this spot was serving 1 item - to go gnocchi. 6 bucks. Can get it with cheese and red pepper for some spice. Honestly shockingly good. Got some of the best sorbet/gelato next door to it too. What an experience! Oh, one downside - cash only establishment.
The gnocchi were soft and comforting, but taste-wise nothing really stood out to me. The sauce was okay, simple and homemade style, but not something I’d personally crave again. It’s one of those “nice to try once” Montreal spots more for the experience and local hype than for amazing flavor. I do understand why people like it though — it’s cheap ( 5 dollars ) quick, filling, and feels very local and authentic. The vibe around the place is probably stronger than the actual food itself because it is between kem cona and fairmount bagel! 🥯
The gnocchi is amazing and very, very cheap and so worth it the price
Quick eats! Was sooooo delicious!
Can’t beat $5 gnocchi! Exactly what you would expect.
Simple, authentic, and full of flavor 🍝 Drogheria Fine is one of Montreal’s must-try hidden gems. Their famous gnocchi with tomato sauce is fresh, hot, comforting, and surprisingly affordable. Tiny spot, big flavor 🇮🇹❤️
It's ok for a 5$ dish, but no more. The gnocchi tastes industrial. The parmesan is not real parmesan (industrial). Disappointed.
Incredible gnocchi- buy at the window only $5. You have to pay in cash or Canadian debit card so be prepared. Unique experience and delicious food.
Unbeatable price, flavour is ok
Good portion for $6.5
Seriously for the price i was surprises! Amazing food at a very low Price and the taste is great! Go check it out!!
Very quick and easy takeout spot. I love that the prices have not changed in years. Gnocchi are good for the price.
For $5-7 dollars, hard to find anything like this nowadays. Good portion, gnocchi is alright but flavor wise, it's terrible. The sauce is super acidic and barely tastes like tomato sauce. Was a worth trying once but not again.
The entire menu is gnocchi. Ask for cheese and spice. That's all of your choices. You deserve nothing more.
Gnocchi’s are what they do. With or without cheese, spicy or regular tomato sauce. The concept is simple and it works. Found the gnocchi a bit tough but still tasty and the sauce good. So for 5-6$ roughly its an amazing deal and comforting. But good luck finding a parking and a place to sit outside to eat.
Excellent. The pasta is very good, and it’s an unbeatable value for 6.50$. I recommend the gnocchi with cheese and spicy.
You can barely leave the house without spending $5, so let’s be honest, this is a good deal for a good amount of gnocchi. The gnocchi themselves are good, but my issue with the tomato sauce. It does not taste right, there is just something off about it. I would still recommend to stop by and try it - it is a quintessential Montreal experience.
It's a street walk by counter the sauce is homemade as a Italian that makes his own sauce with the family... It is delicious the owner I'm guessing took the time to explain everything I've asked super Patience and friendly service. Fyi they only take debit or cash. Thank you for bringing a little of Italy and homemade to Montreal!
Best and affordable place for some hot and warm pasta on a cold day. Ive been comming here for years. I rarely go to places like this where they have like one thing on the menu. Back during covid, the pieces of gnocchi were bigger but they had less pieces. Now the pieces are smaller but they include more pieces of gnocchi. I would DEFINETLY recommend to get it with the parmesean cheese and the chilli flakes (chilli flakes are optional) in my opinion. Because I once got it without parmesean and chili flakes and it tastes kind of bland. But when I got it with the spices, it tasted A LOT better. Its only $1.50 extra
Drogheria is such a Montreal classic. You really can’t beat $5 gnocchi for that level of quality, simple, delicious, and always satisfying. Perfect takeout to enjoy on a bench in Mile End while soaking up the nice weather. A go-to spot every time!
Amazing!!!
It was good to try😊
The gnocchi was soft but the sauce tasted like chef boyardee. Maybe it was too much oregano or burnt onions but I found the sauce oily. It's not for me, but the kids liked it on a cold day.
