Not a bad spot. The two young girls bartenders did not know how to pull a guiness but otherwise it was nice. Food was good too and tbere is a nice variety. Service was excellent. All very nice. Tons of tourists but so am I. Sit at the bar if solo but many tables too. Pretty clean and overall good.
What guests say about DORSAY Pub Britannique
DORSAY British Pub is often appreciated for its warm atmosphere, good music, and English pub style, along with a good selection of drinks. Many customers also highlight very attentive service and successful dishes such as mussels, poutine, fish and chips, onion soup, and some desserts. However, a few reviews mention service that can be very slow or inconsistent, and some dishes that are seen as ordinary or overpriced. It is a good choice if you are looking for a relaxed outing in Old Quebec, especially for having a drink or eating in a lively atmosphere.

Good selection of pub fare, food and service was very good. Music was good but loud, hard to have conversation.
Food excellent. We had green veggies in Quebec not just root veggies. Husband had fried chicken and I had bangers and mash. Started soup of sweet potato just amazing Highly recommended.
First night we stop for a beer and decided to have dinner. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of the food. Service was good and prices were fare for Quebec City. Fish and chips was great and large portion, banger (one) and mashed was tasty with grilled vegetables. We returned a 2nd time as they have Happy Hour from 4:00pm to 6:00pm
Highly recommend this pub! Service was friendly, and welcoming from the get go. We had a waiter and waitress check in on us regularly for drinks/just making sure things were okay. The wings are delicious! My partner got the sausage and mash, and said it had the best gravy he’s ever had. Beers are good. The mocktail mojito just needed some sugar syrup + extra lime, but otherwise was good.
Been to a lot of pubs in my years. Was concerned because this is a very touristy area but this is some of the best food I've ever had anywhere. Great people and wonderful food. Would recommend
Went back a few times as the food was very good, and they have a good happy hour as well.
This place is our favorite! Rumyana is amazing & so kind and welcoming. Christian is a spectacular owner - best spot to spot for a drink (& come back again!)
Food was fabulous. Especially the dessert, Fig, Rum and Foie Gras cake. Our server, Nancy, was delightful. We will return the next time we visit Quebec City.
Delicious! Amazing cider, wonderful service. Loved the pub vibe and large open windows on a beautiful day.
We had the best time! We went for dinner and returned to e next day for drinks! Rumyana provided us with recommendations and was an amazing staff - her personality shines! Thank you! We hope to return soon. The food is excellent and sets the stage for an elevated pub experience!
Absolutely loved my meal here. The mussels were incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the fish and chips were spot‑on — crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned. It felt like an authentic British classic with a French‑Québécois twist. I enjoyed every single bite.
I used to go to this pub every time I visited Québec City, and it used to be perfect. Yesterday was the last time I went there, and even though the staff were very kind and caring, unfortunately the food didn’t taste as good as before. I hope it was only for one night due to how busy it was.
I am a regular at this beautiful restaurant. This time over the weekend had lunch, and the service was really bad; the waiter was rude, but the food was okay, the calamari was not that great, and the oil tasted weird. Returned there the same night, excellent service, the onion soup, AMAZZZING, and the waiter's recommendation was a great choice. Lunch was below my expectations, supper was great
The food was ok but the service very slow, and the waiter during lunch time was little rude Menu has changed from 2 years ago, the food and service was excellent at the time, and now, unfortunately lack of the service this will be a reason not to go back ! (Was there at lunch and supper ) location is great, right across our hotel, château Frontenac
Service was fast, and the place looked to be fine, but I do not recommend the fried calamari. It was overcooked (evidenced by the breading being burnt on most pieces, and some areas not being breaded at all), and it tasted rubbery. After taxes, it is a $24 letdown. Fired calamari has a risk of food poisoning if not done correctly, and me and and my friend felt like we have taken the risk.
Thank for Nancy! Very good service. And the black pudding was really tasty.
Great food but once we ordered it was absolutely impossible to get another drink. Our server (beard and glasses) would approach us looking at the floor avoiding eye contact so we couldn’t even grab his attention! What kind of pub servers don’t ask their customers if they would like anything worse after they are finished ! Maybe coffee, dessert ? Another glass of wine ? Nope not this guy! He actually put a damper on our first night in Quebec City. We had heard such good things I had even made a reservation. We were very polite but after deliberately ignoring us ( even would walk up to the table beside us and turn his head sway ) we paid and left. I can see why the place was clearing out quickly even on a hockey playoff night. Do better. Don’t be rude ! Don’t ignore your customers who ordered appt , drinks and dinner !
Decent food, but very aggressive upsell by the staff, leading to you spending way more than intented. Especially since the waiters never mention that some options cost more, nevermind how much. Sure, that information is in the menu somewhere, but when you get asked rapid-fire questions, you can't look that up.
The atmosphere is amazing but the food is out of this world !! We were so impressed and absolutely recommend :) And our waiter/bartender Jean Luc was very friendly and good recommendation!
One of our favourite spots to dine while in Quebec City, and the perfect spot when in Old Quebec. We were there on Saturday this weekend, and had amazing service from Nancy and her colleagues, the food was perfect as always and we look forward to returning! I tried the special (a cod patty burger with a side of fries, and it was delicious, I especially enjoyed the dipping sauce that accompanied the dish). Thanks for such a great experience, we always look forward to our time at Pub Dorsay!
Well, all you have is the after photo, fantastic fish-n-chips and on the plus side we made happy hour!!!
We stopped here for a beer before dinner and had a very good experience. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable, with hockey games playing on the TVs, which added a nice local and sporty vibe. The place was quite busy, yet the environment still felt calm and welcoming. What stood out the most was the staff — extremely friendly and genuinely attentive, regularly checking if everything was okay and making customers feel comfortable. Overall, a great spot for a casual drink and a pleasant atmosphere.
We loved this pub so much we came twice during our recent visit to Québec City! Nancy, our server, was so friendly and gracious and professional. We really appreciated her service on both visits. The food was delicious. We tried the chicken wings, the "Sunday Roast" poutine, the mussels, and the Queen Elizabeth dessert. They were all excellent! We can’t wait to return in future and try more menu items. Would highly recommend this spot for lunch or supper. In addition, their happy hour deals are awesome! $6 pints and $6 gin and tonique and $5 snacks can’t be beat. Ideal location in the heart of Vieux Québec.
We dined here on our last night of a 4 day stay in Quebec City. Nancy was our server and a pure delight. She helped direct us to some wonderful dishes on their menu. They included the New Btunswich clams, the “Scnitzel”, French Onion soup and Fish and chips. The atmosphere was wonderful reminiscent of an English Pub. The drink selection met the needs of everyone in our party! It also had a very locale feel to it. You will not be disappointed if you came here, especially enhanced by our server Nancy!
