Awesome little spot in Montreal. Delicious food and nice space. Service was amazing, they helped accommodate our 15 month old as well as the space could. Food was AMAZING!!
What guests say about DonDonYa
A small, warm, unpretentious Asian restaurant appreciated for its cozy atmosphere and generally very friendly service. The food is often described as delicious, flavorful, and comforting, with satisfying portions and prices considered reasonable or very good value. A few reviews mention that the place is small and can feel cramped or busy at times, and one isolated review reports disappointment with a delivery dish.

Eat here and you will immediately want to go visit Japan again 🥹 authentic flavours and amazing service 🫶🏼
Great food and service.
Have tried this place a couple of times now. It's a comfort food kind of place, casual and homey, a place you go with a couple of friends. Food tastes good, sizeable portions, for a very decent price. Seating is a bit small and uncomfortable, but manageable. Each time we walked in around at noon, there are seats available, but the place fills up fast by 1 PM. Service is friendly and attentive. Worth a try if you're in the neighbourhood.
the way they cut their lettuce is so crunchy bro :)
This is a very small, hole in the wall, sit on wooden benches, restaurant with wonderful food and friendly service. The whole experience is lovely.
Hidden gem near crescent rue downtown Montreal. Food delicious, quick nice service and cozy atmosphere.
Love the place! Must visit. Great food, good portions and very good price. I tried now about half the menu and love it. You are missing out if you haven't been.
Wonderful food thanks
Perfect if you are on a budget and want a meal that is filling! Definitely try out the chicken cutlet curry and the fried chicken. It is crispy, satisfying bite to it while also being juicy and tender.
Super cute little place with authentic feel, good food for a great price.
Great place, great & cheap food, great vibes 🤩
was so comfy and nice inside very cute - my food was a bit dry but my gfs was good, can see it being good usually
A little restaurant, good food and good price, highly recommend.
Very good food at a fair price, a very underrated dish is the Chicken Thai basil. It is slightly cramped but its part of the charm. The picture below is chashu don.
Greatness speaks for itself
It was my first time ordering from that restaurant by ubereats and i was a bit disappointed because i am so used to eating Japanese food. They curry sauce was terrible. Tasted like water and in the middle the night i got sick, stomach was hurting bad. It felt i got the left over. Usually Japanese curry is gravy thick and brown & ive got the opposite. Atleast, the portion is good & the yam fries were excellent 👌🏾
One of my favourite restaurants in Montreal! Small cozy interior, affordable prices and delicious comfort food :)
Amazing little place and atmosphere in Montreal. Close to Concordia so perfect for students. Food is fantastic and not overpriced. Very good service.
Overall one of the best places I’ve eaten at in Montreal.
Great food chicken is juicy full of flavor the yam fries are a fabulous.
Such a lovely place to visit🤩
One of my favorite places to go in DT! The chashus are crispy, the Waitress is super nice and the decorations are super cute too! If you looking for some some cozy East Asian vibed restaurant to check out: this is the one you wanna check out ✅✅ The only minor downside would be it gets really crowded around dinner time, so be prepared to wait at the door for a bit
SO YUMMY one of the best japanese places in mtl
