Several months ago was a first experience at Dinette Marcela. We were three at lunch prior to attending a play. . We were warmly welcomed and treated with friendly and professional service throughout. I had a gin cocktail, recommended by the waiter, delicious. All 3 of us had the arancino appetizer and we shared an order of focaccia. The arancino is delicious and succulent, a crunchy and light exterior with the soft risotto filling. The sauce was so good we mopped up every bit of it with the focaccia. We finished with coffee. A delightful experience throughout. Yesterday we dined for the 4th time at Dinette Marcella. We were greeted as friends. We each enjoyed our meals. One of our group had the Tuna Crudo, a second chose Beef Carpaccio, and I had the pasta special. All were excellent. The service was friendly and thoughtful. We received a gift of beignets in a delicious caramel sauce with our coffees. Highly recommended.

Food was delicious. Only disappointing meal was the tiramisu 💔, I do not reccomend it. Other than that pasta was delicious, the sauce, the foccacia, YUMMM. Super cozy and cute inside with great service.

Life long Montrealer though now live off island. On a whim made reservation and did not disappoint. Great location food was fresh and pasta was served hot (as is rarely). Definitely recommend. Service was very attentive.

Of all the places we dined in Montreal, Dinette Marcella truly stood above the rest. From the moment we arrived, the level of customer service was exceptional ... warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling overdone. The food was outstanding across the board. It was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and clearly crafted with care. Every dish felt like something special, not just another meal. A special mention to Michael, who was incredibly charming and friendly. He made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table, and his presence elevated the entire dining experience. Dinette Marcella struck that perfect balance of excellent food and truly memorable service. If you’re visiting Montreal, this is one place you don’t want to miss.

Food was amazing! My friend and I shared three appetizers, the gnocchi and focaccia. Way too much food but it was all delicious! Service was amazing and answered any questions we had about the menu. Reservations necessary

The service was top notch - came in with a friend without a reservation. The hostess did her best to find us a seat, checking the bar, the reservations, even calling people who were late for their reso. The atmosphere was also great - it's very cozy and unpretentious. Food was 10/10. Previous reviews recommending the tortellini weren't kidding. The sauce was rich, creamy, delicious!

This was the best meal I had on my trip to Montreal. The meatballs were perfect, the tortellini was savory and the Bailey's pudding was decadent.

Disappointed to say these least. I visited this place yesterday and got the sirloin steak and of course it was overcooked. Potatoes were not cooked properly either and my veggies were cold. If I ever come here again I’ll try pasta. Steak is a no no. Especially after all the money I paid.

Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food and fantastic, friendly and timely service. Our server (blonde lady with some tattoos - I wish I knew her name) was amazing and even gave us a little duck as a souvenir :) 10/10 would recommend

I stumbled upon this place last year, the bruschetta was amazing so we had to come back this weekend. The food is incredible and the service is also good. However, while seated at the bar one employee behind the bar made us feel uncomfortable as we joyfully asked a simple question about my mothers drink, as he responded in an extremely cold manner, enough that i still thought about it today. Service is an art and if you are not ready to welcome a comment or question from a guest, you should not be behind the bar. Everything else was perfect, from the host (we asked to switch seats and he was very kind about it) to the main bar service (very knowledgeable and cool) to the quick service from the bussboy (he was very funny and polite)

We had our Good Friday meal in this cozy restaurant as they had quite a few vegetarian options. We were so happy to find out the arancino was vegetarian and found it very delicious especially with the cream. The spaghettini pomodoro was simple but oh so satisfying! Finally the cavatelli with pesto was perfectly light and fresh. The pastas reminded me of Italy!Our server Megane was friendly and full of smiles so made our first meal in Montreal very welcoming. Merci beaucoup for a wonderful dining experience! 😊

A gem! It was a beautiful experience. Stone's throw away from Notre Dame Basilica church. Food & service excellent. Great ambience. Ww were served by extremely friendly and efficient Megane.

Tried Dinette Marcella for the first time. Absolutely recommend the meatballs and the bruschetta!! Great cocktails too! Above all loved the service, Melissa was amazing! 10/10 will recommend.
