I was expecting a lot from the previous reviews I saw and was really excited to try it out. Unfortunately, this was some of the driest meat I've ever eaten. I started with frickles. They were good but too salty. I then had burnt ends which of course is a little on the dryer side but it was borderline inedible. Incredibly tough and very flaky. My fork could barely stab the meat, it was that hard. I told my server and she told me it was normal. I was hoping the brisket would be different but it was more of the same. Dry meat and even the "Juicy" parts were just rubbery. I fell like it was cooked a couple of days ago or something and then reheated in the microwave because the food did come out fast. Finally, I had the beef rib and it was the only thing that was not too bad. Little more tender and not as dry as the 2 others on the account of it having more sauce. Overall, service was good, but the food was generally horrendous. Had the frickles, the burnt ends as entrés and a combo of brisket and beef rib.

Terrible fries, they taste like they were done a day before. The chicken is dry as Hell… the cornbread is a joke, I get better at Dollarama… the pulled pork & the baked beans are the redeeming part, those were good.

Came with family to celebrate a birthday, I had the dino beef rib plate. It was flawless, I have no criticism for it. Unfortunately, everyone else I came with had ordered the brisket and they were all really disappointed. I tried it myself and we were all in agreement that it was too dry, lacked juice although the dipping sauce may have salvaged it and maybe slightly under seasoned. Brisket may have been sliced too early or a mistake was made in the smoking process. Fries were good, potato salad was alright. Baked beans were fine. Also tried the pork rib. It wasn’t bad it was okay, I’ve had better ones at home. I feel a Texas BBQ restaurant should mainly be evaluated by it’s brisket as it is the staple (in my opinion) and this missed the mark for my family and I. We expected better for a restaurant with this level of reputation and so many positive reviews. Service was great, waitress was super nice. Atmosphere is very loud but as expected for this kind of restaurant so no complaining here. Just the food that was disappointing, will not be coming back.

I came here before a concert and it was not a disappointment. The food was amazing and then staff were all very nice. The Dixie was a great option to taste a bunch of different food here.
