Great new breakfast/brunch place in the West Island. Great food and service. Will be going back.
Reviews / Ratings for Déjeuners Yolks Breakfast
Unique and different breakfast style menu, everyone in the West Island needs to try. Amazing 5++ star service from Luca, thank you so much!
Modern cafe and nature vibes - sophisticated breakfast restaurant. ☕️🌷 Not too noisy or too quiet, just the perfect balance between life and death. 🫠🪦 Formula one trained cooks which deliver your food before you even finished ordering. 🏎️🧑🍳 I recommend trying their deepfried avocado options they sound weird but aren't and taste really good. The eggs here are actually super tasty and are the restaurant's main specialty as they're sourced from some special farm somewhere I forgot where but you don't need to know you can just trust the process. 🗣️💯 For desert I went for a single cinammon roll pancake, the plate comes with 5 usually as to comply with the diabetic demands of the consumers obviously.. 🩸📈 The location is perfect, sandwhiched right between the donut shop nextdoor and the gym just to test your decision making capabilities and discipline 🤨🫵. The food was served hot and was tasty. The server came to us promptly on arrival offering coffee and other beverages. The options were different from most breakfast restaurants in the area. If you want a quick but not rushed breakfast this is a good option.
Nice spot for a brunch ! It brings a fresh approach to breakfast that was must needed in this industry. The food was very good, the service was quick and efficient. Definitely worth the try!
Visited for a birthday brunch on a Sunday. It was a very busy morning with a big crowd at the front, and we waited about 30 minutes to be seated. The birthday person really enjoyed the chicken and waffles, which was the highlight! However, my own meal (the Eggs Benedict) arrived a bit cold. It seemed like the kitchen was just spread very thin because of the Sunday rush, as it looked like several tables around us were also waiting quite a while for their orders. The staff was friendly and the place has a nice vibe, but the food temperature and the long wait for a table made it just an 'okay' experience this time. Great potential, but hopefully more consistent during the next rush.
First time here and looking forward to next visit to try other menu items! I mean I can only eat so much 😆 I ordered the salmon avo toast, and bf had the usual breakfast but with truffle lemon potatoes. The smoked salmon was a bit fishy so I didn’t like it. The potatoes were good but not all bits were tossed with the sauce. I want to try the beignets, bb pancakes and crispy avo next time. Service is excellent!
Fresh new place , portions are generous , it’s not your usual boring breakfast place, so food looks good tastes amazing and price for what you get is logical, the service was perfect. Gluten free options , Overall experience very positive
I got the chicken and waffles plate. Tbh, I wouldn’t have been able to tell apart the food from a piece of cardboard. The chicken was bland, emaciated and cooked to high hell. I think it comes frozen and prefried and refried to order. The waffles were boring. The pickled jalapeños make no sense being on the plate. The poached egg was hard when asked for medium. That being said, the service was really good and the restaurant is well designed. I really liked the esthetics of the place. Bathroom is super clean. Easy to reserve tables for a large group. Anyways, first and last time for me. Way better breakfast places in Montreal for better prices.
Excellent food and quality and Berta is excellent waitress
First time eating at this place I had cinnamon pancakes and wow they were good. To much to finish. I highly recommend this place for breakfast.
The menu revolves around poached eggs, which might be great if you love them. I don’t. I swapped for scrambled eggs but they were bland and dry. The waffle was good. The homemade tots were delicious. The fried chicken was just okay. A bit dry and not the typical crispy fried chicken you expect, especially when it’s paired with waffles. Also, how are chicken and waffles not automatically served with maple syrup? In Quebec? 🤯 That feels like a crime. Our waitress was very nice but seemed new. We had to ask a few times for condiments and coffee refills. The place is also quite loud, so conversation wasn’t the easiest. Not a bad brunch, just not one I’d rush back for.
Food was delivered cold, our coffee was full of coffee grinds. I asked for eggs without chives. Got chives. Waitress was very nice and service was good. Disappointing. Not going back.
Disappointing first visit to Yolks. The fruit looked overripe and unappealing, my poached eggs were way overcooked, and the service was very slow. Considering the high prices, the experience definitely didn’t match the cost. I wouldn’t recommend it.
Ordered Benedict with Portobello mushrooms. The eggs are fine but the Portobello was not fresh and tasteless. Cafe is included, however, it's not tasting like coffee! Service is mediocre and the atmosphere is noisy. We were 2 and it seems that thos place doesn't welcome us as 2 is too few for them?! Very disappointed!
The food was disappointing. The rest was fine...new, clean, great service.
I visited on a Saturday at 11am and it was busy, however the service was great from the beginning. The staff were so kind! I tried the avocado toast and it was pretty good. The eggs were also cooked perfectly to my liking. The prices are about the same as almost any breakfast place nowadays 😬 but overall I really enjoyed everything here. The fresh orange juice was very good!
What a lovely addition to the West Island, all-around 5 stars!! Our waiter was so sweet & helpful, really top-notch service. He recommended the Ancho Pork Belly Eggs Benedict which did not disappoint!! Also, don’t get me started on the yolks tots :’) Haven’t enjoyed a breakfast place this much in a while, will most definitely be back!!
Tried this spot for a quick breakfast with my friend, super cute. Our server, Guy, was amazing. Great service, kind and attentive, he’s great at his job!
Amazing breakfast, you should definitely try it Welcome to the West Island!
Oh, please, brace yourself. I recently endured the absolute "trauma" of dining at Déjeuners Yolks Breakfast, and I feel it is my civic duty to warn you about the horrifyingly pleasant experience I had with their fluffy blueberry pancakes. The "Inconvenience" of Perfect Pancakes First, let's talk about the structural integrity of these pancakes. They couldn't just pick a lane, could they? Instead of being a thin, sad crepe or a literal brick of dough, they had the audacity to be a hybrid—somewhere between a classic flapjack and one of those impossibly thick Japanese pancakes. The Texture: It was like eating a cloud that had been working out. Truly offensive levels of fluffiness. The Blueberries: They weren't the mushy, canned blue-dyed sugar spheres I’ve come to expect from life. No, they were fresh. The nerve. The Sweetness: I brought my appetite for high-fructose corn syrup, but the pancakes were already perfectly sweetened. I didn’t even get to drown my sorrows in syrup. Way to ruin a perfectly good sugar coma opportunity, Yolks. The "Aggressively" Good Coffee Then came the coffee. If you enjoy that watered-down, burnt-bean water that tastes like a campfire's regrets, stay far away from this place. The coffee was strong without being bitter. It’s like they actually want you to enjoy the flavor of the bean rather than just using it as a caffeine-delivery vehicle for your morning jitters. It was smooth, dark, and utterly disappointing for anyone who loves a bad cup of joe. The "Harassment" of Hospitality And don't even get me started on the service. Our server was—get this—friendly. She had the gall to swing by every five minutes to check if we needed a coffee refill or anything else. Can you imagine the sheer exhaustion of having to say "No, thank you, I'm doing great" while being treated like a valued human being? I go to breakfast to be ignored by a teenager on their phone, not to be looked after with genuine care and efficiency. Verdict: If you hate delicious, innovative comfort food, excellent caffeine, and being treated with warmth and kindness, you should absolutely avoid this place at all costs.
Great breakfast, good portions.
The portions were way too small for the price. Compared to other breakfast places, this was a real letdown—we left hungry and disappointed.
Excellent service from Mayla! Food was very tasty. The only thing I think needs some polishing is the presentation. Otherwise 5*
A truly premium breakfast experience. Everything is homemade down to the butter. To top it all off we had some of the best service we’ve had in years. Very impressed!
