Was very excited to try this place but unfortunately left disappointed. I got the chicken and waffles benny. Came without any sauce, was super dry, and my poached eggs were cooked fully through. The side came with fruits and potatoes. The fruits only had 1 small piece of unripe pineapple and a handful of red grapes. What a fail. I got my kids pancakes. I asked for extra whipped cream and strawberries...but the dish same without any whipped cream or strawberries. They still managed to charge me for the add on I never received. Our bill was over $100. Not worth it All in all, a disappointment. Won't be returning.
Reviews / Ratings for Déjeuners Yolks Breakfast
Food was excellent, quality and quantity.
The food was amazing, the mimosas were great and the menu had plenty of options for all tastes. In my opinion the bite size hash browns were the best part of the breakfast. Everything is homemade even their ketchup which has a unique taste ! I still need to try their dinner menu but would definitely go back for the breakfast.
Excellent breakfast, fresh ingredients, and perfectly cooked eggs. Friendly service and great atmosphere.
Just had my first brunch at Yolks and it’s was sooooo good ! As someone who can’t have gluten I was so happy to know that the tots + English muffins were gluten free. The eggs are so fresh deep orange yolk as you would expect with fresh farm eggs. Also service was amazing can’t remember the name of who served us but she’s was so sweet! This willl definitely be my new brunch spot thank you again Yolks and staff :) you guys are doing amazing
Food was very good. Best eggs Benedict in the city. Especially nice is that they do a gluten free version. Their hollandaise sauce is homemade and naturally gluten free. All the plates that came by looked really good: pancakes/wafflea, bowls, brunch burgers. Can’t go wrong to brunch here.
went back in march for the first time since they opened. was super excited to try them out since I saw them on social media. their menu can be overwhelming at first as it was very compactly made and no photos in between. I found their dijon mustard sauce ruined the taste of the eggs Benedict and the skillet personally, as it was very powerful. ( i thought it would have been a minor taste). Their homemade ketchup was very good with the tater tots. For sure the star of the show is the cinnamon roll pancakes, were super yummy and came in a stack of five! I would go back just for the pancakes
Toast way too dry. Small portion of whipped margarine. Grains in coffee. Eggs left too long on plate before serving. Sausages were great and so was the lemon truffle potatoes. Nothing too hard to fix
Food is incredible, eggs are organic.
Best breakfast spot in Montreal 👌
My family has been raving about this place for months! They finally took my here on my trip to Montreal and it did not disappoint! Place was clean, server was friendly and the food was the type of breakfast you dream about! Wide variety of different menu options so there is something for everybody!
Amazing breakfast spot with great food, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, and the portions were generous. The staff was welcoming and made the whole experience even better. Perfect place to start the morning with family or friends. Definitely coming back again!
Delicious food, from everything salty to sweet, spot on! Excellent service and beautiful ambiance as well! Love it and highly recommend!
Great brunch spot. Everything was fresh and really well done. Eggs were perfect and the service was friendly and quick. Definitely coming back!
This place never disappoints. Everything we tried so far has been delicious. I'm working my way through the menu to hopefully try everything.
I was biding from NYC. Where we live in Brooklyn, there are a lot of tasty breakfast options. I was thrilled to have found Yolks! Delicious food. Beautiful presentation, and served with the Montreal Joie de Vivre! Definitely a repeat spot.
Got an over cooked poach egg but told the waiter and he immediately offered 2 poached eggs to compensate! 😅 The replacement was perfectly poached. Human error happens, the important thing is how we handle it. Great service! Food was good. My family was more into their ketchup 😅
Our experience at Yolks was fantastic. It is, without a doubt, the best breakfast spot in the West Island, and I’d go as far as saying the best in all of Montreal. The poached eggs are a game-changer—honestly the best I have ever had in my life. Everything from the atmosphere to the food quality was top-notch. If you’re looking for a place that truly masters the art of breakfast, this is it. Highly recommended!
I loved the smashy burger!!!! I’ll come back next time I want a good meal
Great service and food!
Amazing service from friendly staff and food is too notch. Love the homemade approach and the amazing egg quality (deep orange yolks perfectly cooked). Really enjoyed a Mother’s Day brunch here (reserved in advance). In addition to the great staff the restaurant went above and beyond and gave moms flowers as well as complementary beignets (which were also very good).
My daughter took me for Mother’s Day yesterday. The place was packed but we were seated within a few minutes. Our server was amazing (I regret not asking him for his name). He was so professional and attentive and made our first time experience very pleasurable. The poached eggs and fried chicken waffles were the best I’ve ever had and the Lemon potatoes were delicious.
Excellent place with lots of gluten-free options! My coeliac wife enjoyed a delicious breakfast, and even an English muffin. We also added a nice round of mimosas with freshly squeezed orange juice. Our server Aya and her team made us feel super welcomed. If you're in for some spice, do not hesitate to ask for either their green sauce(mild) or their habanero one(wild) One side note, do make a reservation. They're really busy and you may end up waiting a good while for walk-ins. They're just starting, so table management can improve(several tables stood empty all along as we waited to be seated) All things considered, it's so nice having a gluten-friendly breakfast place on the west island which serves great, delicious food. We will comeback often
Delicious food. Good portion. Excellent service. Highly recommend.
Bad food the service also very slow and I'm very disappointed.
