Oh, please, brace yourself. I recently endured the absolute "trauma" of dining at Déjeuners Yolks Breakfast, and I feel it is my civic duty to warn you about the horrifyingly pleasant experience I had with their fluffy blueberry pancakes. The "Inconvenience" of Perfect Pancakes First, let's talk about the structural integrity of these pancakes. They couldn't just pick a lane, could they? Instead of being a thin, sad crepe or a literal brick of dough, they had the audacity to be a hybrid—somewhere between a classic flapjack and one of those impossibly thick Japanese pancakes. The Texture: It was like eating a cloud that had been working out. Truly offensive levels of fluffiness. The Blueberries: They weren't the mushy, canned blue-dyed sugar spheres I’ve come to expect from life. No, they were fresh. The nerve. The Sweetness: I brought my appetite for high-fructose corn syrup, but the pancakes were already perfectly sweetened. I didn’t even get to drown my sorrows in syrup. Way to ruin a perfectly good sugar coma opportunity, Yolks. The "Aggressively" Good Coffee Then came the coffee. If you enjoy that watered-down, burnt-bean water that tastes like a campfire's regrets, stay far away from this place. The coffee was strong without being bitter. It’s like they actually want you to enjoy the flavor of the bean rather than just using it as a caffeine-delivery vehicle for your morning jitters. It was smooth, dark, and utterly disappointing for anyone who loves a bad cup of joe. The "Harassment" of Hospitality And don't even get me started on the service. Our server was—get this—friendly. She had the gall to swing by every five minutes to check if we needed a coffee refill or anything else. Can you imagine the sheer exhaustion of having to say "No, thank you, I'm doing great" while being treated like a valued human being? I go to breakfast to be ignored by a teenager on their phone, not to be looked after with genuine care and efficiency. Verdict: If you hate delicious, innovative comfort food, excellent caffeine, and being treated with warmth and kindness, you should absolutely avoid this place at all costs.

Great breakfast, good portions.
The portions were way too small for the price. Compared to other breakfast places, this was a real letdown—we left hungry and disappointed.
Excellent service from Mayla! Food was very tasty. The only thing I think needs some polishing is the presentation. Otherwise 5*
A truly premium breakfast experience. Everything is homemade down to the butter. To top it all off we had some of the best service we’ve had in years. Very impressed!
I ordered for takeout and it was delivered quickly and efficiently, the atmosphere was lovely as well. The food was amazing, I didn’t think it would be heavy (we ordered the chicken waffles and frit-tôt a funghi). Will surely eat the food again, especially going to eat-in
Absolutely loved the breakfast here. Probably the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had.
Amazing service this morning by Mayla! Thank you!
Yolks is not your traditional brunch spot. There are many unique plates. The French toast was delicious, but sides and extras are not included and are a bit expensive.
Fun new breakfast place in the West island. A little pricey but they have home made options which is always great. The sauces from the ketchup to the jam and their different hot sauces are homemade and delicious. You can't get every type of egg, which was a little disappointing but good to step out of your breakfast comfort zone. You can enjoy scrambled or poached eggs there. No sunnyside or overcast eggs (if you're in the mood for eggs). You can build your own breakfast which is always a nice option.
I tried the strawberry pancakes and it was delicious. I was able to have a table as I tried it by myself.
Atmosphere was alive and very busy which tells me that it's the breakfast place to be in the area. The service was very good, I would have put 5 stars, but because of whoever washed the coffee cups, I was met with another woman's lipstick on my cup, it survived the wash cycle. I drank from it, but at least it wasn't on the stain itself. My friend noticed it and told said "your lipstick does not match the one on the cup" 😵💫. Our server promptly replaced my cup and coffee, hence the 4 stars remain. It's my first time ever seeing a restaurant with only 2 ways of cooking eggs, I had to settle with poached eggs. It was quite tasty, I just expected an establishment that specializes in brunch to have over-easy. Aside from that, my experience still deserves a 4 start rating. Will be returning for the atmosphere, the service and those poached eggs.
Different from most breakfast places, eggs are either poached or scrambled. ... no fried eggs
Absolutely amazing. Eggs are perfectly cooked and presentation of good is a work of art!
Our first time at Yolks today. All I can say is exceptional! The menu has plenty of options. What was impressive is that just about everything they offer is made from scratch! And you can tell by the quality of the food. Even the tater tots are homemade and so very delish! Our server Guillaume was efficient, explained the menu well, friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was light, fresh and well designed. We will be going back. Such a refreshing breakfast place. If you’re looking for something new and different from the usual - this is the place!
This breakfast place is very good. A bit on the pricey side but definitely worth it. The food came out fast (within 10 minutes) and wasn’t as hot as I expected. I assume it was already cooked except for the egg.
Place was very good. Portion appropriate with the price. Good selection of breakfast food. Definitely will come back another time. Tater Tots are a must!
It is very busy for a good reason - a lot of menu options, all fresh and tasty. The service was very fast and friendly, but it can take some time to get a table, coffee is average, but not burned, food was great and plates are decent size. Unfortunately, no reservations during weekends and it's a welcome edition to West Island breakfast scene.
Good portions, great price
Went to eat at this restaurant last week. I ordered sunny side up eggs and they said they didn't have sunny side up eggs. Really.....I guarantee you in less than 2 months they will be setvi g sunny side up eggs or else they will join that infamous club that says FERMER. This is Quebec folks. People eat a certain way and you are not going to change them. Very arrogant operational stance taken by this restaurant
Second time here in a week! Everything was absolutely fantastic! Sarah is a gem. Working in the restaurant industry myself, I can tell what good service is! Cool concept! Delicious food. Extra fast service. 10/10 Can’t wait to be back!
This place is insanely good. Really. Just try it. It’s not your typical breakfast. But it’s worth it compared to other pretentious places that serve you eggs for 30$!
Our server Natasha was amazing! She was super patient with us, since we were so indecisive on what to get. Everything looked so good. She recommended the cinnamon toast pancakes which were amazing! We’ll definitely be coming back with hopes to be in her section!
Nice atmosphere, fast service, and delicious variety of food. Highly recommended
Loved my experience here, such a nice and cute place. We had a Nutella latte, it was soooo good!!!! We tried different things from the menu and all enjoyed the food. We liked the different sauces and ketchup they had. Will definitely come back again soon! Shout out to our waiter Guy for his amazing service!
