Reviews / Ratings for DaWa chicken (Plateau-Mont-Royal)
Food was really great! Chicken wings were very fresh and the tteokbokki were soft and easy to chew on. We had the creamy onion boneless (!) wings and rose tteokbokki. It was a good balance of savoury and spicy. Shoutout to the lady who served us for recommending these! Would definitely come back to try other options for wings! Their soju cocktails were really good and the price is reasonable, too.
Very good experience. The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The service was honestly out of this world — 10/10. The staff were super kind, welcoming, and attentive. Highly recommend this place, I’ll definitely be coming back!❤️
A great place to get your fried chicken cravings sorted
A very clean restaurant, nice ambiance. The waitress was really really nice. Speaking both french and english. The fried chicken was AMAZING. Melting in mouth. Affordable and big plates. Very satisfied, a nice discover.
Amazing fried crispy chicken and tender from inside. The service is top notch also . Special mention to YuNa 👍🏽
The fried chicken is perfectly crispy even with the sauce, and the cheese corn is fantastic!
Food is good but one time i visited they say kitchen close at 11 another day they say kitchen close at 10 :30 and today the kitchen close at 10 i think they should be more specific on timming .
I recently visited DaWa Chicken in Plateau-Mont-Royal. While there were some definite highlights to the meal, the experience was a bit of a mixed bag due to service speed and one specific dish. The Good • Fried Chicken Combo: This was the star of the show! The chicken was perfectly crispy and flavorful. We really enjoyed the variety of sauces and the crunch. • Korean Rice Cakes (Tteokbokki): These came with fish cakes and a generous layer of melted cheese on top. The texture was great and the flavors were spot on. Highly recommend these two! The Bad • Seafood Pancake: This was a major disappointment. It felt like it was rushed on high heat—the outside was overcooked/burnt while the inside remained raw and gooey. It wouldn't hold its shape and just fell apart when touched. Definitely wouldn't recommend ordering this. The Service • Wait Time: We waited about 40 minutes for our three courses to arrive. For a casual dinner, that felt significantly too slow, especially considering the kitchen timing issues with the pancake. Final Verdict: Go for the chicken and the rice cakes, but maybe skip the pancakes and be prepared to wait a while for your food.
