I had a wonderful experience at Damas. The food was absolutely delicious, every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The service was attentive and professional, and the ambiance felt vibrant and lively. The only small downside is that it can get quite loud, especially during peak hours, which might make conversations a bit difficult. But overall, it’s an amazing dining experience that I would definitely recommend and come back to!

We did the tasting menu with the cocktail pairings for my 40th birthday. Everything was fantastic, the service was wonderful, fast, polite, very knowledgeable, and we were well fed and watered. We were utterly stuffed by the end and it was a great experience. The portion sizes were generous. The place was cool and the seating was comfy. It was a pretty perfect birthday experience. They nailed it. I would definitely trust them to knock a special occasion out of the park. The price is definitely not a daily favourite, but it's nice to have special treats. Incredible staff, fantastic food. Thank you!

Damas in Montreal delivered an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely outstanding, beautifully presented, rich in flavour, and clearly crafted with care and authenticity. What truly elevated the evening, though, was the service. It was attentive without ever feeling intrusive, and everything flowed seamlessly. Communication was effortless, especially since we were served in English, which made us feel completely comfortable and well taken care of throughout the night. A special thank you to our server, Sabrina, who went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. She was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive, striking that perfect balance that turns a great meal into a great evening. Highly recommend Damas for both the incredible cuisine and the top-tier hospitality.

Damas is hands-down my favorite restaurant in Montreal. From the moment you walk into the gorgeous dining room on Van Horne, the experience is just unmatched. The service is always incredibly warm and attentive, and the atmosphere feels so special without being stuffy. But the food is the real reason I keep coming back. The Syrian flavors are so rich, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. Everything is incredibly fresh from the cold mezzes right down to the charcoal-grilled meats. Whether you go all out on the tasting menu or just share a bunch of plates, you honestly can't go wrong. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but it is absolutely worth every single penny for the quality and the overall experience. A true 10/10.

If you’re after something a little more distinctive than the usual dining spots, this place really delivers. The flavors feel intentional and elevated, without trying too hard. I had heard about this place for a long time from people and damn was the food good! As a top guide in mtl ive tried a lot of restos everywhere and this was my first Syrian one. I absolutely loved it, the flavors good, drinks were awesome, service great. Bravo 👏

Came here for brunch and was very impressed. Our server Aelia was amazing, very kind, checked in frequently and gave us great recommendations on what to order, really top notch service. The food was phenomenal, every dish was delicious, perfectly balanced and full of flavor. The fresh in house made pita bread was a great touch. Highly recommend visiting Damas I will for sure be back everytime I visit Montreal can't wait to try more menu items!

I believe life is about balance my expectations were high and surpasses nice place beautiful open kitchen where you could see these absolute professionals do there art wonderful server and the food was perfect perfectly seasoned perfectly served perfectly balanced was a wonderful experience I will definitely be back 😁

Dinner was excellent. The food, the service, the atmosphere. We had the fattouche salad which was incredible, super tasty, delicious Shrimp, the main course was the mixed grill that featured succulent lamb chops, filet mignon, rib steak, chicken. Dessert was vanilla ice cream with pistachios and cotton candy on top. Our waiter George was phenomenal, he kept checking up on us and listened to our requests. It is pricey but well worth it for a special occasion.

Best restaurant in Montreal in my opinion. The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable, each dish has a distinct flavour. I recommend the tasting menu to try a bit of everything.

Damas is definitely a Montreal institution. It's an upscale Syrian restaurant in Outremont that gets a lot of buzz, and I can see why people are drawn to it. The ambiance is stunning, the staff are genuinely warm and welcoming, and the service is attentive throughout the whole evening. No complaints there. That said, I left feeling like the hype doesn't quite hold up. The food is good and decent, but for the price point, I expected to be blown away and I simply wasn't. When you're paying fine dining prices, "decent" just doesn't cut it. It feels more like you're paying a premium for the atmosphere and the name than for truly exceptional cuisine. Worth visiting once if only to say you've been, but it's not the kind of place that leaves you counting the days until your next reservation. A memorable first visit, but not somewhere I'd rush back to.

Lamb tartar is out of this world. I remember fish dishes were much better in its first location in Montreal. Service was good though. Seating by the bar is a good option for intimate, quieter dates.

The food itself is exceptional. Flavours are unique and on point, and everything is cooked very well (for the price point, would hope so!). Would recommend the tasting menu. The interior decor is also well appointed. Was slightly disappointed in the service as they forgot orders / items multiple times.

I don't think I have witness a better service in any restaurant that I've been too. The food was great, service A1. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is a bit on the pricey end but it is surely worth every penny!

The dishes were high quality and the service was fantastic. Our server, George, was attentive, kind, and very helpful in guiding us through the menu options. The food was served quickly, and everything was excellent. We ordered the baba ghanoush as a starter, followed by the eggplant lamb kebab and the lamb shank, all of which were delicious. It’s on the pricier side, so it’s a great choice for a special occasion.
