Stumbled into Damas on a Tuesday after work and honestly it might be one of the best decisions I've made since moving to Montreal. The lamb kibbeh was absolutely incredible, perfectly spiced and served in a gorgeous, intimate dining room that felt way more special than a random weeknight deserved. Service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, which is rare to find at a place this well-regarded. If you haven't made a reservation yet, do it now because this spot fills up fast even mid-week.

Honestly one of the best if not THE best, novel (to me), unique, and interesting dining experiences of my entire life. If you can splurge on the tasting menu (with the classic wine pairings), DO IT. The dishes are composed of flavour combinations I don't think I'll ever come across again, but to put those flavours together in the way that they did was nothing short of incredible. So unique and so delicious.

Our server Ayoub (hope I spelled it right) was phenomenal. Very friendly and knowledgeable with some great recommendations! Service was excellent, quick and efficient but did not make you feel rushed at all. Food was amazing! Highly recommend the lamb dumplings and the lamb kebab. Décore is top notch as well, just unique and transformes you to a different country. A tad pricey but well worth it for the great experience.

My favourite restaurant in Montréal — and it never disappoints. We visited Damas for a special Mother's Day brunch, and the experience was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The set menu was thoughtfully curated — each dish felt intentional, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. Everything we tasted was delicious. The service is truly impeccable. The staff strike that perfect balance of warmth and professionalism that's increasingly rare, and it made the occasion feel genuinely special. Damas has been my go-to restaurant in the city for good reason — the food, the atmosphere, and the hospitality consistently deliver at the highest level. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience in Montréal, this is the one. Highly recommend. 🌿

Went to Damas tonight with a friend and as usual, had incredible food - there is not a single bad thing I could say about the flavour profile of any dish. Where it went downhill was with the service. When we got our bills, I noticed my cocktail was upcharged by $2 when compared to the menu. Not a big deal, but the principle of it is where the problem lies. When I raised it to our waiter, it took 5 minutes of back and forth with the staff before he came back with the corrected bill, a half-baked apology (“we don’t usually try to pull this on our customers, but our menu prices really did change this week”), and nothing to make up for the situation. My friend then notices the same thing, and before she can even show him where the problem was, the waiter proceeds to gaslight her into thinking the price she was charged for her cocktail was actually the price in the menu. I checked after the fact - it was not (see images attached - shai glace/th0 glac0). For an establishment that prides itself on a refined and memorable experience, this left a really bad taste in my mouth. The last thing I want to be doing when leaving a restaurant is making sure the prices that were listed are in fact the prices that were charged. So disappointing. I would definitely think twice before making a reservation again - there are equally great restaurants in the city that actually engage in fair business practices.

The food was amazing, really tasty and full of flavor. It was on our bucket list and we’re happy we went, but honestly not worth that kind of money. We got the dégustation menu at $160 per person, which felt pretty expensive for what you get, i would say 130$ max would be decent. Thank god I filled up on bread lol. Overall we’d definitly go back because the food was really good, but next time we’d just order plates and appetizers

We had a fantastic time at this restaurant. One of the top food experiences in Montreal thus far. The flavours are deep and unique, and very delicious. You can appreciate the use of high quality ingredients and expertly curated dishes. The lamb was the best dish we tried. We ordered several dishes and they were all fantastic. This restaurant is on the Amex platinum dining list, so you can use your annual $200 credit here. We had high chairs, and the group was great with the children. The service is fantastic, your water will always be filled, and you can appreciate the attentiveness of the staff. .

Don't miss this restaurant!!! Easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is joyous, the service and the food was absolutely outstanding—but it was John who made the evening truly unforgettable-he is EXPERT!!! All his recommendations were exceptional. I'm amazed that even though this restaurant is busy and well known, it always felt like an experience curated just to you-honestly, it’s rare to find such attention to detail, extraordinary meals and beautiful service. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. If you are in Montreal, Damas is an absolute must!

Really enjoyed Damas. Good was good. I found the tasting menu pricey for what we got. With wine and 15% tip it was 300$ per person. Next time I would opt for à la carte options.

The food here was absolutely stellar, and definitely one of the top restaurants in a week long visit to Montreal. The hummus shawarma was exceptional, and the mixed grill for two is definitely worth it, especially the shish taouk, lamb rack, and filet mignon kebab. The smoked eggplant puree with the lamb was chef’s kiss. Definitely come here while in Montreal, but get a reservation.

Exquisite food, excellent service. Our waiter Nick is a real pro. Every dish is expertly prepared, cold and warm mezzes are great, the mixed grill superb, seasoning and cooking is perfect, the sides and sauces fantastic. Expensive dinner, worth every penny.
