We were so hungry that we could've just eaten anything when we visited but the calamars frits and the spring rolls was too oily 😔 We literally only ate one bite of the calamars frits because it wasn't good I really expected alot, lechon kawali was also very dry literally like cardboard and it wasn't even hot when they served it. I would've given a one star but the server was really nice and the desserts were actually pretty good! the halo halo had alot of stuff inside and the flan was so rich and smooth.
What guests say about Cuisine De Manille
Cuisine De Manille receives mostly positive comments for its flavorful Filipino food, generous portions, and generally very friendly, fast service. Many people also appreciate the restaurant’s atmosphere and the presentation of the dishes, with frequent mentions of shareable plates and comforting flavors. However, a few reviews point out inconsistencies in some dishes, too much oil, or portions that seem disappointing for the price, especially for delivery or specials.

We had a wonderfully pleasant period during our recent stay. The dishes served were quite delicious, and the general crowd was very polite. The staff was incredibly welcoming at every turn. Overall, it was a very nice experience that successfully delivered good quality alongside very fair pricing.
I placed a takeout order and when I arrived to pay, the female cashier initially attempted to charge me more than the agreed-upon price, which was my first red flag. While eating my calamari, I found plastic in the food. When I brought it to their attention, the younger girl with dark hair and the older lady with honey blonde hair both attempted to tell me it was not plastic, which was extremely frustrating. The only honest person in the situation was the cook himself, who admitted it was plastic and explained it was an honest mistake. I genuinely appreciated his honesty because the gaslighting from the front staff was unbelievable. I tried explaining calmly that dismissing and gaslighting customers is unacceptable, especially in a situation that could have been far more serious if I had choked or been injured. Unfortunately, the younger employee remained defensive instead of taking accountability. I ultimately decided to leave. Very disappointing experience overall.
I’ve been to many different Filipino restaurants and I must say cuisine de Manille is one of the best one! The food is superb … pasok na pasok na panlasang pinoy! I spoke to the owner .. a lady (gosh I forgot her name) and I complimented her about how great the food was! Keep it up … definitely go back when k get to Montreal again!
Cuisine de Manille is a fantastic spot if you’re looking for flavorful and authentic Filipino food. The service was quick, efficient, and friendly, which made the experience even better. The restaurant itself is more casual with only a few tables available, and they do not take reservations, but it still feels welcoming and comfortable. The food was the highlight of the visit, everything we ordered was incredibly delicious, rich in flavor, and clearly made with care. The portion sizes are also very generous for the price you pay, making it excellent value overall. I would definitely go back to try even more dishes from their menu.
This is hands down the best Filipino restaurant I have tried and I tell you I have tried MANY mostly in Mississauga and a few in Toronto. We only came to Montreal for a day tour and started to crave for Halo Halo. We looked up for Filipino restaurants near where we are but every one of them were more than 10Km away. Thank God for the all day train pass and we literally went super excited to get to Cuisine De Manille 8 stops later. We ordered a must broth of Spare Ribs Sinigang to match the Cebu Lechon, a Kare Kare and Goat Kaldereta were added as well as a small plate of Cassava Cake. Ofcourse the Halo Halo as our dessert. The Pork Sinigang was the bomb with the sourness that perfectly meets what we have wanted for a Sinigang to taste like! We were also impressed with the crispiness of the Cebu Lechon and thought that was it, but then we tried the Goat Caldereta and we were instantly fans! We totally forgot about touching the Cebu Lechon after that Goat Caldereta sauce touched our palate! The Kare Kare according to my friend was nothing extra ordinary, the Cassava Cake wasn't sweet which is a good thing. It was just right. We were just too full slurping that heaven sent Pork Sinigang broth I barely touched the spare ribs but still ate one and it was good, then back again to the broth! The serving was good enough for 2-3 people to share but because it tastes so good, I would recommend to limit it to 2 so you won't fight over it in the end. The Sinigang was also packed with lots of veggies. The goat Caldereta was the highlight of our late lunch, it was unforgettable and we were trying to figure out how the sauce was made and maybe we can try cooking it at home but meh! I don't think so! It's too special to even attempt to duplicate it. The Halo Halo was fantastic full of ingredients and refreshing for a hot day. Overall this restaurant is something every tourist MUST visit. It is small but enough to hold batches of starving locals and tourists alike. We saw foreigners taking home party trays and that made us proud. I rated 4 stars for the service because we had to request for the serving spoons, we were given platitos instead of full plates so my rice were falling off, I need space for all that deliciousness to contain! Also the napkins were a bit scarce. But the food is the most important thing. I hope they put up another branch in Mississauga or Toronto (I can uber eats if it's gonna be in Toronto). Whoever is your chef(s), sir/ma'am, hats off to you! The best Filipino food ever, ever, ever! Ever. 🤤❣️🍽️
I can’t believe I’ve never reviewed this spot. I’ve gone here a few times when I lived in mtl a few years ago. Delicious food with great portions and pricing!
We ordered for delivery. Had the lumpia, veg spring rolls and lechon kawali. Authentic and delicious!
The food was okay, but the server was rude and had an attitude. It made the experience unpleasant.
The food and service are great, and it’s authentic Filipino cuisine.
Solid
We had a great experience at Cuisine de Manille in Montreal! We chose this place because of the good Google reviews, and it definitely lived up to them. We ordered the kamayan platter, and it was absolutely delicious — it really reminded me of a traditional “boodle fight” back in the Philippines. The platter included garlic fried rice, chicken BBQ, pork BBQ, calamari, ensaladang talong, and atchara — everything was flavorful and well-prepared. The presentation was also beautifully done. What made it even more special was the atmosphere. The walls are decorated with Filipino memorabilia and even a framed news clip from when they first opened (around 2004, I believe). It really gives you that feeling of home. We left feeling so full and happy. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and it's one of the places I recommend to anyone craving authentic Filipino food in Montreal.
It's a very simple place; you don't have too many visual references, but it's fine. They give good service. My first time trying Filipino food, and I love it! I'll be back for sure to try the fried chicken, and the rest of the menu looks good.
Extremely yummy Filipine food and the staff there are friendly! Portions are huge.
Excellent service great food
We ordered food for delivery good for three person and tried the calamari, pork lechon, lumpia, fried chicken, and ensaladang talong. Unfortunately, the calamari was very disappointing. It looked like leftovers—just a very small squid, poorly coated and not properly fried. We took one bite and had to throw it away. If this had been served while dining in, we would have returned it. It also did not match how it appeared on the menu. The pork lechon was also unpleasant. The smell of the meat suggested it may have come from an uncastrated boar, which gave it a strong, off-putting odor. The lumpia was acceptable, and my husband was able to eat it along with the fried chicken. However, I personally did not enjoy the chicken due to its smell, which seemed like it may have been cooked in old oil. The only dish I truly enjoyed was the ensaladang talong, along with the rice. Overall, this experience was disappointing, especially considering the variety of dishes we ordered.
Insane, everything was perfect and delicious. Fast service, good price, highly recommend!
The food is great. But I recently ordered the dobis crispy spicy Chicken from uber eats and it's a total scam. I have ordered from this place multiple times. And they used to give you these huge pieces of drumsticks and thighs. Now it's "7" wings for the same price! And the "seven" wings aren't seven. 1 wing is a drumette, a flat and a wing tip. They split it in 2 and they call it 2 wings and they cut the wing tip. So you get 3.5 wings, not 7. Edited after store reply: Yeah it's a scam because you're using the same image of the drumsticks as you use for the wings. AND you no longer have the "bone in blah blah" listed. AND AND they were never called "Bone in chicken". You literally just added "wings" to the end of the title. They were the same price. And I have pictures to prove it. You even kept the other description but changed the name! As you can see from my order in 2021 they were 15$ same name "Crispy Spicy Chicken. And then today Crispy Spicy Chicken wings 14.95! Oooh not the same 5 cents less, lmao. I included your responses in my pictures so people have context. I ordered from you 100s of time! Dont play me. Edit edit: Bet. I'll see you soon 👍 Since you seem to not understand how misleading or a "scam" it is, I posted another picture of it showing that I "ordered last year" but that order from last year was NOT WINGS. Yes, I've ordered a 100 times for you and no, I didn't read the title because I'VE ORDERED SO MUCH I THOUGHT I WAS RECEIVING THE SAME THING I ALWAYS ORDERED THAT HAD THE EXACT SAME IMAGE AND DESCRIPTION AND SAID THAT I ORDERED BEFORE. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE WAS "WINGS". In uber eats, there's a function that says "order again", that's exactly what I did and then received something different from what I ordered last time. You literally changed one thing about the listing and kept everything else the same.
came here at the end of a week long trip in montreal and was craving homemade filipino food and this hit the spot, i will definitely be coming back!!
Food tastes great, presentation was good and staff was very nice.
I bought some fried chicken and I find it was overpriced for the pieces that i got, $18.00 for three drumsticks three other small pieces chicken , no thighs, the chicken taste good but the pieces that I got are not worth the price..
Food was extremely oily. But I am giving it a three stars because the cashier was nice. Update: Yes, I am aware certain dishes are expected to be richer. We had the lumpia as a side, I don’t think the excess oil was drained well enough. So we had some oil dripping.
People are so nice. You enter and the aroma is mouth-watering. Absolutely amazing well-flavoured dishes.
Amazing food and very friendly service! Beautiful restaurant too on the inside. Definitely worth checking out if in the area!
My husband and I came here for Valentine’s Day and unfortunately left a bit disappointed. We originally planned to order the Kamayan, but were told the Valentine’s Day special would offer that and more. In reality, it was more expensive and felt like it offered less value as it wasn’t the same items. They had run out of the chicken and calamari (as seen in the photos online) included in the special and offered fried chicken as a replacement. It also didn’t include the lumpia rolls I was really looking forward to trying. When I asked about the rolls on the platter, I was told they were just regular spring rolls. It would have been nice if this had been clearly explained when we were ordering. Overall, we just wish there had been better communication about what was included in the Valentine’s special, especially since it was a set menu. We were really looking forward to the experience and left feeling underwhelmed. On the plus side.. the pancit and adobo pork was really good.
