You must try onion soup - it was so amazing✨ It was topped with grilled cheese, and there was delicious onion soup under it We also ordered the smoked salmon crepe and the shrimp crepe Both were delicious, but I preferred the shrimp one🦐
What guests say about Crêperie Chez Suzette
Crêperie Chez Suzette receives a lot of praise for its crepes, fondues, and soups, with portions often described as generous and the food as flavorful. The service is frequently described as warm, attentive, and fast, even during busy periods. However, a few reviews mention dishes served cold or inconsistently, long waits, and reservations sometimes poorly handled. The place seems appreciated for its friendly atmosphere, but the experience can vary depending on the time and how busy it is.

Unfortunately, this was the worst experience we had during our one-week trip to Montreal. We ordered crêpes and coffee. The filter coffee was served ice cold; when we mentioned it, they replaced it. However, the crêpes were clearly prepared hours earlier and arrived completely cold as well. For a place that literally calls itself a crêperie, this was honestly shocking — four pieces of cold crêpes on a plate. When we asked for the bill, we waited over 20 minutes with no one coming to our table, despite trying to get attention. In the end, we had to go to the counter ourselves to pay. We paid in cash and, due to the poor service and food quality, we did not want to leave a tip. However, a tip was taken from the cash without asking us. When we explained that we did not wish to tip and shared that our experience had been very bad, the situation escalated. The waiter became rude and defensive, blaming us and saying that we should have complained more. We had already mentioned the cold coffee during service, and when the crêpes arrived cold, we chose not to make a bigger issue to avoid wasting food. The most unacceptable part was when the waiter mocked my mother’s English and spoke to her in a very disrespectful manner, essentially telling her to leave because her English was not good. This behavior was shocking, humiliating, and completely unprofessional. I am still shocked by how we were treated. In an entire week in Montreal, we did not experience anything even remotely close to this level of rudeness and disrespect. I would not recommend this place — not for the food, not for the service, and certainly not for how customers are treated.
Superb service and handmade crepe! G
Food and service was exceptional!
Service by Tony was immaculate! We love it here and will definitely come back for more
Food was good, and most importantly, the food made grumpy and difficult children happy. They must have been hungry, but even they were surprised at how good it was.
Everything was really good, the food, the ambience, the service, it was amazing. So recommended!
Very well situated, we had an event in the old port, and this seemed like a good choice. The waiter was charming, very nice. The atmosphere is ordinary, but that’s ok, I was there for lunch so I wasn’t looking for something fancy. The crepes themselves were disappointing, very disappointing, they were bland. My husband ordered the Charlevoix, the spinach was raw, the crepe was sweet. I had the Laurentian, my kids also chose different crepes, they all tasted the same. The dessert crepes were pretty good, but not the lunch ones.
Awesome place, great people, and fantastic food. So friendly and personable. Engaging and to talk to. What great ambassadors for Montreal!
Tasty crepes, both sweet and savory! Service is prompt, portions are good, price is fair - what more can you ask for!?
Delicious crepes and friendly service!
This place was so great, customer survive was amazing food was great and the overall restaurant was outstanding, definitely recommend this restaurant
The server being polite was the only positive giveaway from this experience. Overpriced crepes with a very average quality and the latte and cappuccino wasn’t good. A tourist trap for those visiting.
We enjoyed a breakfast for 5 and Vivienne was our waiter. She was very pleasant, attentive and did an excellent job. We had the following crepes: Délice Spéciale, La Charlevoix, La Traditionnelle as well as a Latte bowl, a cappuccino and a hot chocolate. All were prepared with care and were absolutely delicious.
Service was wonderful! Very warm, welcoming and super attentive, considering it was New Year’s.
