I’m sure the food is good enough — but we ended up not eating because the so-called ‘music’ was so loud and annoying and intrusive that we left without ordering. For me, when I’m paying to eat out — and at $CAN40 for a main dish, this place isn’t exactly cheap — I want to be able to relax and converse in an environment that is conducive to relaxation and conversation. Instead, the thud-thud-thud and distorted wailing vocals of the ‘music’ made such relaxation and conversation impossible. The waiter also rejected our request to turn the music down, and seemed put out, even sarcastic, in response. In summary, this feels like a tourist trap that trades on its old town location but can’t be arsed to up its game even a little.

We tried our best to accomodate you, I put the music down two times for you, at the second time the music was so down than in all the section you've been seated it was like if the speaker was shut down...so when you say than I rejected your request this is not true
An other table close to yours even asked why we shut down the music in the section
I can understand your point but I have to think for all the customers in the dining room, it wasn't what you expected, I can definitely understand that, but this is not a reason to denigrate all the restaurant
Once again we are sorry it wasn't what you looked for and we hope you had a good evening anyway
