I’m from NYC and it was my first time in Montreal. I found this spot. Their fried chicken was unreal. Got some sides. Overall everything was so good I went there twice over the weekend I was there and the server remembered me as well. Very sweet lady will come back here on my next visit for sure.
What guests say about Comon Korean Buffet
The reviews are very positive overall, with an average rating of 4.6/5 from 12 comments. Fried chicken comes up often as a highlight, with frequent mentions of the sweet-and-spicy sauce, while some dishes like the spicy beef stew were less impressive. The atmosphere is appreciated, the service is described as warm, but there can be a bit of a wait when the person on the floor is handling everything alone.

I tried the sweet and spicy chicken and it was divine! I will be back to try the soy garlic for sure!! Perfectly fried and crispy and full of flavour.
The fried chicken is similar to one you would get in a general tso chicken plate from a really cheap chinese buffet. Not worth it at all.
Yummmy Korean food ☺️ I would definitely come back for some more fried chicken (sweet and spicy sauce) 😈
Comon 꼬몽 (verdun), you really have to reveal your secret to the world now, hahaha : how ...on earth...are you still that Top for Montreal? Ages ago, when I discovered you, you were Top for Montreal. Then now, ages later, I come back and you are still Top for Montreal. Comon, the great! Wow!
I had a great experience here. The chicken is definitely the highlight; it’s cooked to perfection and tastes amazing. Also, I highly recommend ordering the Soft Tofu Stew as well. It pairs perfectly with the meal and is incredibly savory. A great spot for a satisfying meal
I’ve ordered from here numerous times, and I have to say the star of the show is the Sweet & Spicy Fried Chicken. It’s consistently delicious and keeps me coming back. This time, I decided to try the Spicy Beef Stew, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to expectations. The flavour wasn’t as bold as I had hope, it wasn’t spicy at all and tasted somewhat bland. While I was disappointed with the stew, I’d still return for the fried chicken, which remains my favourite item on the menu.
Please add more kimchi as side dish 🙂
I lived in a small seaside town in South Korea for one year (2008) and since I’ve been back, this restaurant is the closest I’ve found to serving food that truly reminds me of the flavours & textures of dishes I had over there. The kimchi jigae and ttokpoki were absolutely amazing. They also played Korean music, which only heightened the experience.
I love this restaurant so much; good food, reasonable prices, great atmosphere. Definitely come here if you're looking for a Korean restaurant.
Such a cute spot!! The food was really yummy and the value is amazing — their special is around $20 and you get a bunch of different things to try, which I loved. The service was also great. I wish I got our server’s name — she was so sweet and everything came out quickly. Honestly, it felt like a little Korean shop you’d find in Korea. Would definitely recommend!
Ok food and experience, I've prefered the food from other restaurants of this style. The only server was quite mixed up with ou bills as well. No note taking it seems.
Food is fine, what I don’t like about this place is the waitress, the previous one never had smile on her face. I have been there many times, and she really never smiled! I’m glad she left!! This waitress is ok, but when there is line up, she literally could neglect people who are waiting. There are a couple empty seats and she would rather working with clients by the table, but neglect clients that are waiting for half an hour! Simply say hi or just a word saying “won’t be too long” would make the dining experience better!
Had such a wonderful time, we keep coming back here. The fried chicken is so delicious and never disappoints us! We had tteokbokki and bimbap along with chicken and everything was delicious!! And our waitress Sumin was such a sweetheart, she checked up on us a couple times without it feeling overwhelming (she had to serve everyone by herself and she was doing such a great job, very hardworking!) 🩷 Will definitely keep coming back, very cozy environment, good for small groups or couples (The restaurant itself is very very small, it's basically just one small dining room so don't be surprised if there's some wait!)
I ordered it so I can’t speak on service. The food is really good it’s around the same price as most Korean chicken in mtl. The only complaint I have is that there is not nearly enough sauce on the tteokbokki if it weren’t for that it would have been 5 stars.
The food was really good! The fried chicken was crispy and the Rabokki was very flavorful. The atmosphere was nice too. They did forget our dumplings even though we paid for them, but when we called to explain, they were very kind and offered a compensation for our next visit. Really appreciated the great customer service. We will definitely come back!
Very nice little restaurant! :)
We live nearby and have ordered fried chicken from here many times before. The taste has always been quite good, and we were generally satisfied. However, last Friday we ordered a 12-piece takeout fried chicken. Out of the 12 pieces, only two were drumsticks. The rest were mostly ribs with very little meat. Some pieces also had an unpleasant smell, which made them seem not fresh. It was very disappointing, especially since we had good experiences before. Unfortunately, we do not plan to return. Also, I originally tried to post this review earlier but kept receiving an error message. Hopefully it goes through this time.
Best fried chicken in Montreal in my opinion! We've been going to Comon for over 5 years and always order the fried chicken as a treat for celebrations (birthdays, anniversaries, etc). Our menu favourites are the fried chicken, boneless chicken, gimbap, and you have to try the pancakes! For the fried chicken, I recommended having the sauce on the side so you can enjoy how crispy and flavourful the chicken breading is! When we pickup, our order is always hot and prepared quickly too!
Cancelled my order on Uber Eats
