The food was absolutely delicious, but unfortunately the service was very disappointing. Our waitress, a blonde woman, was rude from the moment our meals arrived. As soon as the food was served, she told us we only had 15 minutes left to eat, which was shocking considering we had just received our dishes. We then felt pressured to rush through our meal, especially since we were only allowed to stay for one hour — something that was never communicated to us beforehand. When it came time to order dessert, she told us there was only one option available (a flan). However, the table next to us was able to order multiple different desserts, which left us confused and feeling misled. Her attitude remained unpleasant throughout the entire evening, until it was time to pay. At that point, she suddenly became friendly, smiling and joking — clearly to encourage a tip. It’s truly a shame, because the food was incredible and the atmosphere and music were great. Sadly, the poor service completely ruined our Valentine’s Day date.

Very mid experience. The hype around this place made me want to go try it, I’ve been to a lot of restaurants in the city and I’m sad to say that for a brand new place the menu was very disappointing. The garlic shrimp we ordered had a weird after taste as if the shrimp were not fresh. The octopus was ok but the portion was ridiculously small, the poutine with lobster and steak was extremely salty and the lobster tasted frozen. Unfortunately just another place that was hyped up by influencers for a free dinner and promotion… unfortunate. The atmosphere is good, but the food and mocktails are not worth the salty bill.
We visited Cococina in Montreal with my wife. The interior has a very interesting modern design, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The cocktails were very good, and the food was tasty. At first glance, nothing feels overly unusual, but the food is genuinely good. There were a couple of points that could be improved. My wife was initially given a fork that had not been properly cleaned, which could be a serious issue for many guests. Also, the second cocktail my wife ordered was accidentally forgotten, even though the restaurant was not yet fully busy. When I asked for the bill, the staff quickly prepared the cocktail, removed it from our bill, and apologized, which we appreciated. Overall, it’s a nice restaurant with tasty food, great cocktails, and an interesting atmosphere. The service could be a bit more polished, but it’s still a pleasant experience.
We absolutely loved the food. The octopus literally melted in the mouth, the fish and chips with black caviar and an incredibly rich cheesy sauce was spotless, and the lamb was beyond praise. The seafood platter exceeded all expectations. Cocktails didn’t disappoint either...A truly memorable experience. But.....We were a group of 15 people, and despite making the reservation in advance, we were seated at two separate tables (8 and 7). It would have been easily possible to arrange one large table, which would have made the experience much more comfortable for our group.
Good service, excellent and good quality food beautifully presented. Good value overall. Beautiful setting. I will go again
By far best spot for diner in Montreal. Strongly recommend
Finally a place in montreal where the menu is as excellent as the venue! Delicious plates with a moroccan/spanish touch, good vibes with nice music and upscale design !!
