Amazing maple crepes with fruit. Friendly service. Cool vibe.

Always a good choice for brunch, the employees and the welcoming staff were very nice
Food is decent. Portions are alright, although when you get the big breakfast plate you get a lot of little things and not a lot of breakfast meats. It’s quite filling, service is a bit slow but they’re usually slammed. Would recommend to go to say you’ve been, but wouldn’t necessarily go back unless I had too cause it’s super busy.
Food and location was amazing!
place was totally overhyped. apparently ordered a plate of carbs – so many potatoes and toast... breakfast was ok, certainly not exceptional. place has "tourist trap" written all over it
Cosy and eclectic, I had the pork chop and it was absolutely delicious. Prices are reasonable and the service is excellent. Would definitely return l.
I would like to give this resturant a 3.5 out of 5, but the option is not available. For an appetizer we had a sharing plate with duck wings, fried cheese and a poutine. The duck wings were very good. The poutine and fried cheese were ok. For our main dishes we had duck breast and seafood linguini. I am sorry to say but the duck breast was very chewy and I was disapointed with it. The sweet potato purée underneath it was actually quite good though. The seafood linguini was good but we have had better at other resturants. That being said the pear cocktail was very good! We ended up getting 2. Dispite the above we still gave dessert a shot. We had the crème brûlée and it was good, but again, I have had better elsewhere. The location is very convenient if you are visiting ville de Québec as a tourist. The service was very very good. In the future I would only go back to try breakfast. Something that initially concerned me was the size of the menu, which makes it difficult to keep the quality of each dish high. My reccomendation would be to remove some options and choose to focus in a certain area.
Great Christmas day early lunch with our family. Very busy, as expected on the day, but great food.
Cozy place. Delivious Food and Excellent Service
Charming restaurant, delicious food and excellent service. A most memorable night. Thank you!
Absolutely loved Cochon Dingue in Québec! Great atmosphere, delicious comfort food, generous portions, and friendly, attentive service. Everything was flavorful and well prepared. A must-visit spot in Québec City!
We went here twice during our stay in Québec and were really satisfied both times. Important for us was the allergene information, which is comforting and reliable. The food also is really good, especially the poutine and the ribs. Its a nice atmosphere and good service and definitely worth a visit.
My family had a terrible experience here. I ordered an entree specifically marked gluten free on the menu AND informed my server multiple times that I have a gluten allergy. Despite that, I was served a meal containing gluten, and unfortunately didn’t notice until eating a few bites of it. Our server never returned to inquire how our food was. After waiting 15 minutes, my husband had to track down another server, who confirmed the meal I was served did indeed contain gluten in the breading. My husband’s chicken dish was partially raw. Our server was incredibly rude to us at the end of this terrible meal, along with being largely unavailable throughout our time there. I spent 4 days sick from the gluten exposure. Terrible experience, sadly.
Racism Alert: 🚨 I had a deeply disappointing experience at Cochon Dingue Champlain during my recent visit. While I was looking forward to enjoying a meal in what appeared to be a charming setting, the behaviour of one particular waitress completely overshadowed the experience. 🤮 From the beginning, her attitude was cold and dismissive toward me and my party. As we placed our order, our wait time was over 45mins. Whereas, guests seated after us received their meals with a wide smile. It became increasingly difficult to ignore what felt like racially motivated behaviour. Also, our inability to speak French felt like a factor of discrimination. Food was good and none of us had complaints. At the end of our meal, we didn’t tip as TIPS ARE FOR GOOD SERVICE AND VOLUNTARY. When she saw that we didn’t leave a tip, she embarrassed us in front of other guests by saying that we should know that tipping 15% is a norm here and we should know these things before coming here. We ended up paying a 15% tip after she forced us to pay by shaming us!! As a guest, nobody should feel like an outsider in a restaurant, especially in a city known for its hospitality. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and provides better training on respectful, equitable service. Discrimination, even at a subtle level, has no place in any public establishment. I will not be returning, and I encourage others to be aware of how people of colour seem to be treated here.
We have been going to CDC for well over thirty years and it's ALWAYS the very best in every way.
We chose this restaurant at the recommendation of our hotel concierge for a kid friendly experience (young children), and it didn't disappoint. My kids loved it (they actually ate!), and the menu for adults was actually good as well. I felt that our meals were excellent considering our intent. They accept reservations online, which eliminated the uncertainty of mealtime with children.
Terrible dining experience. Grilled cheese sandwich was a bust, Philly cheese steak terrible, fries were awful. Do not bother.
Nice atmosphere, excellent customer service, authentic onion soup, tartare de saumon was great as well as the rest of the dishes and drinks. Thanks to all the staff
Awesome restaurant, quick service, delicious food. Great atmosphere.
