I genuinely cannot understand how a coffee shop can only have ONE outlet. And the best part? Realizing after I had already ordered my 6$ latte. Apparently the owner decided to remove them, would love to hear the logic behind that.
Reviews / Ratings for Clarke Café (Kirkland)
I hate leaving a bad review, but if it can help the next person avoid a bad experience, I must share. I came to this cafe to study for the first time a few days ago. Within 3 minutes of settling in, the manager (at least I think he was) approached me and told me I had to move because it was reserved for clients only. I explained to him that I was just about to buy a sandwich and a drink, yet he stood by his words. He explained that it was "rush hour" and I was essentially taking up an extra seat by sitting alone. He had asked approximately 5 additional people to move for the same reason (who had purchased food/drinks before I even got there). I ended up buying a sandwich and a drink, but had to refrain from studying until the"rush" was over. Finally, to add salt to the wound, the manager ended up leaving the cafe before the end of the "rush". Therefore, the whole displacement of people studying was completely unnecessary. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I got one of their chicken sandwiches, and it was really good! The atmosphere was clean and aesthetically pleasing. However, based on my experience, I would not recommend studying at this cafe if you plan to go alone.
Great little sandwich place in the West Island, delicious and good value. Great coffees and sweet treats as well. We usually take out but there is a sitting area as well. Would highly recommend!
Best iced latte in Montreal. I literally order you guys for uber JUST for the latte 🤣
I enjoyed a fresh Zeppole and cafe latte. Great food and great coffee. I also liked the atmosphere - not too loud, great to catch up with friends or do work.
I had a coffee and a croissant, both were really good. The only thing is that is you're going there to work on your laptop, there was no wifi connection.
One of the best chicken cutlet sandwich I had!!!
Very busy at lunch hours and not enough tables for everyone.
Absolute gem of a place. Coffee is excellent, sandwiches are very fresh, great portion and at a very very reasonable price. Staff is polite and the place is clean. This area has needed something like this since Suzanna’s has closed.
Amazing sandwich. I’ve been looking for a great sandwich place in the West Island and this place impressed me. I had the porchetta sandwich with eggplant and bomba sauce. They had a little issue where their printer wasn’t sending to the kitchen and my sandwich got delayed. They apologized for the wait and gave me a free drink of my choice for the inconvenience. Great experience!
