we arrived around kitchen closing time but they still accepted us with amazing service. Food was very good as usual
Reviews / Ratings for Chimaek Gana
Chimaek is hands down one of the best spots for Korean fried chicken in Montreal. The chicken is always crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The sauces are especially impressive, whether you go for something sweet, spicy, or soy garlic, everything tastes authentic and perfectly balanced. The vibe of the place is fun and lively, making it a great spot to hang out with friends. Pairing the chicken with a cold beer really completes the experience. Service is friendly and efficient, and the portions are generous for the price. Overall, this place never disappoints. If you’re craving Korean fried chicken, Chimaek is a must-try in Montreal! 10/10
Best Korean styled fried chicken place in Montreal. Food portions are generous and price is very fair or kinda cheap. I highly recommend this place 👍👍
It is 8:40pm and they told us the kitchen was closed on the site they close at 11pm. We were a party of 4.
Everything was very good! We ordered Nagasaki Udon and Honey Butter fried chicken. The sauce was amazing! I will definitely come back!
The food was phenomenal as expected! A little pricey but the ambience made it totally worthwhile!
Best value for korean fried chicken 🍗
First time coming to Chimaek because my brother in law wanted to bring us here. He was surprised the menu changed. Almost everything was sold out when we came and the only thing we ordered as the chicken but it came with little sauce so it tasted a bit dry. When we asked for more sauce, we had to be charged 5$ (no choice I guess) The portion was quite generous anyways. The waiters were friendly and efficient. It’s just the food that was quite bland and dry.
I live nearby, been a regular since 2023. This time food really slaps I had to give a review. I ordered: - Nagasaki Udon (Soup) - Makchang (Hotplate Intestines spicy Mala) - Green Onion Chicken - a portion of Takoyaki for free just had to post an Instagram story Hands down this is a must go for Korean Fried Chicken in town, good food must go with a price. Its 10/10 worth it Thanks for being very generous with the green onion
Edit: After months of complaining, they finally changed back tbe menu to something that we recognize. I still miss the baby powder fries and cheese corn but this will do. The tetbokki is different, the gimarri looks smaller but its ok. I really miss the old menu. Original: Break my heart cause it was my fave restaurant but The new menu is awful. Everything was salty and oily. How dare you remove the yangnyeom chicken, corn cheese and the baby powder fries. The new truffles fries are bad, they're thick and oily. Fix it!!!!
Great food. They gave us s choice of chopsticks....or disposable gloves to eat out food. Gloves is a great idea for finger food! Lovely old building, too. Will go again
Why did I put 5 stars? Because I like go to there. Food excellent. Me like it there. Random employee smiled at me. Me was happy.👍👍👍
Everything here is so delicious, from the fried chicken to the army soup 🔥
In as much as I love their chicken and would always want to go back, today they did the unthinkable. We’re only the black people there. After eating, anyone would want theto food to settle down before stepping out. We were already planning to leave and a waiter came to us to ask us to leave! That was so embarrassing. Apparently all the waiters were staring at me because I took time to dress and these people were tipped, imagine that! Discrimination at its peak! It’s not as though they weren’t empty tables and so they needed it freed up, there were empty tables! So is so wrong!!
I wanted to try this restaurant for a month, and every time I go there they tell me the Kitchen closed, and I went there at 9, when GM says they close at 11.
The kitchen close at 9. Although they close at 11.
Excellent food and great atmosphere. It can be busy and there’s a two-hour limit, but it’s worth it.
I came around 21:20 tonight but the server said that the kitchen was closed at 21h. However, I saw on the google map that they will close at 23h. It’s wasting my time to come.
One of the best fried chicken restos in town. The fried chicken menu changes regularly but they usually have great options. Conch salad also delicious.
The best Korean chicken I’ve ever had! The yangnyeom chicken is amazing. Since it’s so cold lately, I’ve been using their app, but I wish the yangnyeom chicken was available for mobile ordering. Great service otherwise!
I visited this place on 23rd of january and everything was amazing. The fried chicken was delicious as always and the waiters were all so good looking. Also they played really cool korean songs which enlightened my group's mood even more.
Best korean fried chicken in montreal, unbeatable price. Bill came up to 14$ per person for quality chicken. Highly recommend the supreme chicken.
I visited Chimaek Gana a few days ago, and it was a great experience overall. I ordered the Supreme Chicken and udon, and both dishes were delicious. The chicken was incredibly crispy — exactly the kind of texture you want — and it paired perfectly with a cold beer. The service was also excellent. The staff were very kind, attentive, and quick to react to anything we needed, which really made the meal even more enjoyable. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Chimaek Gana if you’re looking for tasty food, great chicken, and friendly service.
I used to come here with my friends and family, but I won't bring them anymore :c after the menu was changed, the boneless are just tasteless no matter what sauce is. Sorry
Lowk goated resto
