We got the blind tasting menu and everything was so good and fresh. Service was amazing and everything was super fairly priced. Couldn't recommend more!

We ate in a few places in Montreal during our stay. Many very good. This is the only one I reviewed because it was so great. The second time we went we had the trust the chef option with family. Every dish was great. Spectacular fresh tuna tartare, grilled hangar steak ( wood fired by the taste), fresh summer tomatoes salad with an amazing froth of some kind, calamari, grilled artichoke hearts ( not usually a fan but an incredible Smokey creamy sauce with it) then three fab desserts. We shared between 5 so got great variety ( 5 different starters, 4 different mains three desserts.). Unexpectedly great value actually at $45 pp. Attentive knowledgeable waiter, helpful wine suggestions with tasting. Just excellent.

My review is a bit outdated since my last visit was over a year ago. But before I moved out of the Plateau it used to be my go to place for groups out of towners and special but casual occasions. Food and service were reliably good.

Perfect anniversary evening at Chez Victoire! Our friend and neighbor Edward, (now living in FL) recommended Chez Victoire for an authentic Québécois experience, and he couldn’t have been more right. We came for our anniversary and left completely charmed. From the moment we walked in, Emile greeted us with genuine warmth and guided us through an incredibly personalized experience. His knowledge of the menu and thoughtful recommendations made the whole evening feel special and intimate rather than rushed or generic. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance of cozy and intimate enough for a celebration, yet lively and full of that classic Plateau energy. The food was outstanding: refined, seasonal, and proudly local. Every dish felt carefully considered and beautifully executed. If you’re looking for a memorable, authentic Montreal dinner that still feels personal and welcoming, Chez Victoire delivers. We’ll definitely be back & we’ll keep thanking Edward for the tip! We had such a beautiful evening at Chez Victoire tonight! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special for our anniversary! The food is outstanding and so fresh. We ordered the cheese to start. It was all Quebec cheeses, and all were delicious. We couldn’t decide what part of the meal was our favorite, because it was all so good. The strip that it’s on is all pedestrian with lots of shopping & bars/restaurants and it’s surrounded by residential housing. It was a wonderful evening that we look forward to visiting again.

Had a wonderful experience here, opting for the 4 course tasting meal. All the dishes were excellent, and i highly recommend the tomato salad, the black pudding and the halibut dishes. Service was excellent, and overall an excellent meal. Would come back.

It was a truly delightful visit from beginning to end. The meals were excellent, and the space had an incredibly cozy, relaxed energy. The people were all so remarkably sweet and pleasant. We definitely cannot wait to return and enjoy this place once more. It was an altogether lovely and refreshing day that we loved.

Super nice experience and food! The products were all so fresh and tasted delicious. We got the lobster salad and boudin noir as appetizers to share. Then, we had the duck, steak and fish for main. All of them were amazing but the duck is my favorite. The only downside were the desserts that was a bit disappointing except the lava cake that was excellent. Will definitely come back!

Finally made it to Chez Victoire after 2 months on my list… and wow, should’ve gone sooner. Top tier Montreal spot. Staff was amazing, the waitress knew her stuff, and every dish was fresh and beautiful. Don’t skip dessert… absolute bomb. I’ll definitely be back.

The occasion turned out to be a highly pleasant and fun venture. The dishes served were genuinely good, and the local crowd was incredibly nice. The employees maintained a remarkably friendly presence. Overall, it was a thoroughly nice experience that offered solid standards at fair rates.

We had an incredible experience here. We are visiting in town from across the United States and wanted to enjoy cuisine that was delicious and creative and this restaurant exceeded our expectations. We had Ele as one of our servers and he was not only attentive but engaging as well. While we don’t live here we truly hope to come back soon! Thank you all!
