Patrick was our waiter. Have never tipped 20% on after tax total before this. Well deserved. Very personable and attentive.
Reviews / Ratings for Chez Lionel - Brossard (Solar Uniquartier)
Modern French restaurant. I went there twice. The first time, I sat at the bar and ordered from the regular menu, and it was really good. The second time was for Valentine’s Day, when we had the special Valentine’s menu. The food wasn’t as great as the first time, though I understand it might have been because it was a busy night. The oysters with passion fruit sauce were not great. However, the service was impeccable and they took very good care of us. The restaurant is located in a building with limited parking outside. However, you can also park inside the building, and it’s free.
We were 3 couples for dinner on a Saturday night. As Chez Lionel this is part of a chain, we were not so sure if it would be a good experience, and of course sometimes the pictures on web do not make justice to what you see. We were all very impressed with the nice decoration, impeccable service and excellent food. Of note was that the noise level what just fine nd we all could entertain conversation, which is rare these days. Congrats ! We will surely come back.
Nice
Excellent service
The beet salad’s receipe has changed and it wasnt that great. But the rest of the meal was amazing
Patrick was AWESOME!! BEST SERVER EVER! He should get a raise.
It was outstanding! And Félix was great!
Went for lunch. The food was good and the service excellent. Will come back.
Very nice atmosphere. Good tartare. Bacon in the burger was too thick but tasty overall.
Excellent atmosphere and great food. My friends had the cheeseburger and said it was awesome. I had the salmon and it was very good. Overall I would love to go back and would def recommend anyone to go, with friends or a date!
Overpriced, not that tasty, we were a big group and they acted like we were a bother more than catering to us
I wasn’t expecting to order a hamburger at this place, but it was spot-on — juicy, tender, and tasty. Portions are on the smaller side, and the fries were average. Customer service was on point and the staff were very friendly. Side note: Parking is very difficult to find. You will need to park in an outdoor 3 storey high parking lot which is about a 7 minute walk from the restaurant.
Very tasty food !
We went to Brasserie Lionel because we wanted a French bistrot experience on the south shore. First, I must say it's a shame that one must go through a mall to enter the restaurant. It takes away a little of the ambiance. The restaurant itself is quite nice, with very high ceilings, and a modern decor. We ordered oysters, which were quite small, but with oysters, it's what is available at the time. The mignonette sauce was too sweet for the oysters and the Tabasco sauce that comes with the platter was impossible to open so we gave up. The first course, which in my case was a salade de chevre chaud, was forgettable. It was not at all what a salade de chevre chaud should be. The cheese concoction on top of the salad was much like a pancake, and not very appetizing. My partner's iceberg salad was ok at best. The main course, which took 35-40 minutes to arrive, was absolutely delicious. Both of our mains, my chicken and my partner's joues, were outstanding. Dessert, (profiteroles) again lacked flavour, and was forgettable. We had the impression that there were two distinct teams preparing the meal for that evening. The entrees, appetizers and desserts seem to be prepared by one team (the not so good team to be blunt) and the mains, by a chef who knows what he/she is doing. It is not an inexpensive restaurant, so one would expect the quality of each course to be the same.
I have been to this place twice this week, and both visits were just excellent. Service is rapid and friendly, food is good (both taste, quality and quantity), and atmosphere is lively and jovial. The menu is quite versatile and the prices are reasonable. I totally recommend it!
