Easily better than the Moroccan food I had in Morocco itself and in any other country for that matter. Exquisite lamb, super tasty meatballs. Lovely couscous and of course the dessert was just phenomenal esp the rice pudding. We had the buffet which I highly, highly, highly recommend. An incredible coy place and I just hope Fatima wasn't retiring soon and moving back to Morocco. Enjoy Chez Fatima while it lasts!

This place has a wonderful Moroccan atmosphere. The soupe harira was so delicious that it felt like someones mother cooked it for me. But the highlight of the night was the Tajine Agneau, Prunes, Figues et Amandes. The meat was so so tender and melted in my mouth, the fruits weren't overcooked and soft. Whenever were in Ottawa again we will make sure to come again.

I went during the buffet hours and the food was delicious (soup, tender chicken and lamb, etc..). The chef Fatima was very welcoming and friendly as well.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant; my family and I truly enjoyed every moment. The lamb was perfectly marinated and cooked to perfection, full of rich flavor. The shrimp and couscous were incredibly tasty and satisfying, and the salad was one of those dishes we genuinely loved and kept going back to. We also tried the steamed vermicelli for the first time, and it was a delightful surprise. What made our visit even more special was Madam Fatima, the chef, who took such great care of us. She entertained us with her warm service and engaging stories, making the entire experience feel personal and memorable. We truly appreciated her hospitality and generosity, it made us feel right at home. Thank you, Madam Fatima. We’re already looking forward to our next visit :-)

A hidden gem that keeps pulling me back! Every time I visit the Ottawa/Gatineau area, Chez Fatima is a non-negotiable stop — and it never disappoints. The food is genuinely authentic Moroccan, the kind that tastes like it was made with real tradition and care, not just a recipe. The lamb tagine is absolutely outstanding — tender, deeply flavoured, and perfectly spiced. It’s the dish I look forward to every single visit. If you’re in Gatineau and craving something beyond the ordinary, do yourself a favour and come here. Chez Fatima is the real deal. 🇲🇦

Such a lovely experience. Fatima was incredibly welcoming and made us feel like we were at home. It felt like we were eating with family. The hospitality and warmth made the meal even more enjoyable.
