Super cozy spot! The cabbage dish was life changingly good ✨
New, Hot, Sexy Restaurant Alert Everyone! Now I am going to be so bold as to say this is the best restaurant I've been to all year so far, and in the conversation of best restaurants I've been to in the last 6 years I wanna say! Let us all welcome Chez Cécile Rôtisserie to the Montreal food scene with open arms and a warm heart. Because this friendly duo from Nova Scotia named Ben the Chef and his Sister who runs the front of house Sawyer are a tag team for the ages! I loved everything about this restaurant, from the decor, the sharing style seating arrangement, the vibe, the staff, the food, EVERYTHING. I love when a place makes you sit with strangers! First we have the À Grignoter, which is like little Starters. We had bread and gravy with pickled veg. Dudesss trust me, have it, order it, I ordered more 2 times of each. Bread was sick, gravy was some of the best I've had ever and the pickled veg were all different picklings and taste while still holding there crunch, amazing start. Next we got the "Center Table" we got the Beef Carpaccio, Artic Char Crudo and Winter Salad. The Beef was seasoned to perfection while having the perfect accompanying flavours, the Crudo was light and fresh with the homemade crunchy chips component without feeling heavy. And the Humble salad was covered in this savoury and salty cheese topped with a chorizo flavoured honeycomb giving that texture it needed to elevate to the next level. Lastly the "Rôtisserie A Partager". Some of the best mains I've had, in so long. The Chicken Pot Pie is a freaking must, it'll put you into a coma for sure and the crispy chicken skin is nothing short of genius. The Sausage and Mille Feuille Style Potatoes in gravy is just bloody delicious it hurts. And the banger in the long list of bangers was the Rôtisserie PORCHETTA, SLICED, topped with gherkins, Pickled Mustard seeds, sauce, on a bed of lentilles. OMG SO DAM GOOD! Dont walk run, don't think just go, give this place so much love. And for a limited time only, every Sunday only as of today, for lunch they are doing a Cabane À Sucre Menu till April 26th. HOT TIP for those who made it this far, the 26th is a Special Menu you won't wanna miss!🙊
Vibes
This place is worth the visit! Every dish was incredible and our waiter, Simon, delivered impeccable service. I can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be coming back
a passionate, joyful bunch! it transmits through the decor, the vibe, the food, the presence and attention of the staff... we had the chicken, the crudo and the chou de savoie. the chicken was great and not fatty at all. clearly a high quality bird. the gravy was delicious and honestly could have eaten a whole dinner out of the coleslaw. the chou was 10/10. i personally didn't love the crudo. i thought the chips were overpowering and that it wasn't zesty "fresh"' enough (the flavour, not the fish) but my partner enjoyed it. the restaurant was crowded, fully booked, and they sat us late, but were very attentive about it. offered us drinks and made sure we were alright as we waited. can't wait to be back!
I love this place so much. It feels like eating at your grandma’s house—if your grandma were a five-star chef. They’ve got all the classic dishes but with fun, creative twists that make everything feel a little special. The service is amazing too—the waitress was so sweet and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I still think about that Neapolitan ice cream sometimes. Can’t wait to go back!
Food was amazing and our waiter Simon made our experience memorable!! Vibe is very homey and comfortable
Had a fantastic meal here. The music was charming, the ambience was cozy, the staff was lovely, and the food was amazing. Can’t stop thinking about the cabbage….. so yummy.
The atmosphere was incredibly lively, and our server was both kind and patient throughout the meal. However, there was some confusion regarding the menu descriptions; I personally feel that including photos would be a helpful addition. I also struggled to find the beer list on the physical menu. While the food was generally excellent, the croutons on my salad were burnt, which unfortunately tainted the flavor. Beyond the meal, the communal seating was a drawback for me. As a taller person, being sat at a six-person table felt restrictive; I was pushed to the edge and felt like I was constantly elbowing my neighbor. While the tables were aesthetically pleasing, their size made it difficult to hear my partner over the proximity of other diners. It was a crowded experience that felt quite cramped.
Loved this!! Food was amazing! Highlights were the salade d'hiver, the beignets, and of course the poulet rôti. Everything was so delicious and so so homey. Staff is also exceptional!! Highly recommend:)
