Food is tasty and fresh, decently priced, generous portion on popcorn chicken. Menu, however, is the instagram reels of menus. Dancing nuggets, rotating pasta, moon walking chefs, chicken falling from the sky, a second chef who’s dancing. It’s too much. The music is that of a nightclub in which amateur DJs practice spinning disks. Its remixes of pop songs with a voice sample saying « put your hands up » every now and then played at an absurd volume, measured at 83 decibels

While I was recovering from a leg injury and unable to walk properly or take the stairs, I ordered delivery through Uber Eats. The restaurant handles their own deliveries, and I made sure to clearly state in my delivery notes that I needed the order brought to my door, as I was not able to come downstairs. When the driver arrived he called me and said he would not be able to deliver the order to my door because there was no elevator . I live on the second floor of a small building with no elevator, and it’s only about one short flight of stairs. Despite explaining my situation, he was rude and dismissive. He told me he didn’t care and that I could call Uber if I had a problem. He kept saying “I can’t I can’t I cant..:” irritated and rude. He then left the food in the lobby and left. Because of this, I wasn’t able to get my food for over an hour until a neighbor came home and helped me. The food was cold and my milkshake was warm. This was a horrible experience. I had clearly communicated that I was injured and unable to come downstairs, and the lack of care and basic consideration was extremely disappointing. Edit: they lied on their reply. It was their guy from chef on call. See the picture below. I forgot his name i think it was fakim, or karim or some other arab name. He was a short, thin, mean guy who spoke no English at all.

I’ve ordered from this Chef on Call location 4–5 times on Uber Eats. The main reason I kept coming back is that the food is decent and they’re open late. But every time, I forget how bad the service is, and every time, they prove me right. The delivery experience is consistently terrible. Not once has the driver called me. They usually leave the order in the lobby with no notice, so I’m left guessing when to go down and get it. Orders are always delayed by at least 30 minutes, and since they use their own drivers, there’s no way to track anything. It ends up taking over an hour (sometimes 1h15+) for food from a place that’s literally down the street. On top of that, I’ve even had orders canceled after waiting close to an hour. When you try to call for an update, you’re met with rude, clearly frustrated staff who sound annoyed that you even reached out. I regret giving this place so many chances and will never be ordering again.

Hey karl, We are sorry about your experience. We've had a minor issue with our integration. We would love it if you reached out to us at [email protected]. This review prompted us to do many more live tests. We actually pin pointed why this keeps happening. There was an issue with auto notifications (sms) being sent to customers for when their food arrives. As note; we try our best to work with third party platform technology but unfortunately its not 100% accurate 100% of the time. Please let us make this wrong right!

Visiting Montreal for a few days and decided to try this place because it was near the hotel. Absolutely incredible food (chicken parm sandwich, fries, buffalo chicken wrap). Great service and a really pretty interior. I’ll definitely be back if we visit Montreal again!

To be avoided. Can’t talk about the quality of the food, because the food never arrived and we had to cancel the order via Uber Support. They will NOT deliver within time, NOT respond to update requests and as you can see by other reviews on here, clearly do this regularly. The best thing about this order was the fact that Uber Support acted professionally and within minutes, cancelled our order and got us a refund.

One of the best burger I never had . The burger is well garnished, the meat is tasty and everything is holding perfectly. The portion of fries is generous and many choices of sauces to choose from. Excellent place. The negative point : no branch in the US !

Amazing experience at Chef On Call! The food was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. The burgers and wraps were juicy, the fries have the perfect crispy, and the portions were very generous. The staff were friendly, fast(10-15 min wait time), and made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for great comfort food late at night in Montreal, Chef On Call is definitely the spot. Highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back again! 🤍

What a great discovery! Perfect spot for lunch, dinner or late night snack (they’re opened until 4 am!!). Super vast menu, there is something for everyone. Everything is homemade and freshly prepped (sauces, burger patties, etc). The dishes we ordered were all very flavourful, well balanced and crafted with intentions. Huge burgers, well garnished and juicy, cooked on a charcoal grill. The milkshakes are PHENOMENAL. The Biscoff one is PACKED with Biscoff, they’re not skimpy. I highly recommend!

great in person. Do not ever order from uber eats. They took 1.5 hours to deliver a simple meal. Customer service was terrible, did not answer the phone, and they don’t use uber eats platform drivers, and their driver drove in circles and took way too long to be normal. Very disappointing and will not be ordering here again.

Food was overweldone, last time was so yummy, but tonight I invited my friends from Vancouver and unfortunately like so many other things have been changed during 2 , 3 years post COVID in Montreal, the food was not good like before / still nice staff

Chef on Call is this fantastic delivery restaurant in downtown Montreal. They have both great healthy options and delicious fast food choices. Also their open super late, something crazy like 4am. I always call them if I'm working late and have no time or energy to cook for myself. It is almost like have your very own chef on call!
