Montreal food influencers strike again with yet another successful campaign of deceit!Mange Dans Mon Hood is decent but "the best burger in Montreal"? Gimme a break. It's not even the best smash burger in the city. That "MDMH" sauce in their Cali burger that everybody raves about is just Big Mac sauce. It tastes pretty much the same and that's what that burger is: a Big Mac in smash burger form. It's good but, you know, I can just have a Big Mac...The Ol' Dirty poutine is good but would be much better if there was burger meat in there. Still not a bad pick.As for the place itself, yeah the pictures of all the rappers and other artists on the walls are awesome and I love the culture but it's hard for the aesthetic to matter when the restaurant is so damn small. It fills up pretty quickly too so I don't think you can ever be comfortable eating here, hence why the novelty of the artwork wears off almost instantly.All in all, I give Mange Dans Mon Hood at 3/5. It's not bad but it's not amazing either.Also, for now and forever: regular meat patty > smash burger

i have to say, this place is in the top 5 for smash burgers spots in and around montreal. burgers abit smaller than the competition and the fries are on the dry side. not a bad place to go for a smash

I’ve been coming here for over a year and have loved it every time. I’m not usually one to write reviews, but yesterday was something special. While I was eating, a homeless man came in and began digging through the trash. Instead of kicking him out, the staff offered him a fresh meal. I truly appreciated that gesture. There’s always an amazing crew working here—nothing but great experiences.

Hey Charlotte, thanks for the support. With the current homelessness situation, we gave our staff the instruction to feed the homeless whenever we can. If there is a rush, we'll ask them to come a bit later or tell them to come earlier next time. So hoping people don't think we kick them out. But it happened once that one got aggressive and threw fries at the cashier. We now have a protocol to handle that with the instructions from the police specialized in social issues and social workers. The sad truth is we have to call cops on them if they become agressive but we will keep trying to help them out as much as we can. Trying to contribute a bit in these hard times. Thanks for spreading the love with your positive review and hoping to satisfy your every craving 🫶

I ate here for the first time today, and am I ever glad to have found it! Great food, people, and atmosphere - decor and music 😀 The owners are so friendly and helpful; I meant to order poutine, but ordered fries with our combos in error, and they were very accommodating and happy to fix my mistake. As for the food... this is, hands down, the BEST smash burger 🍔 I've ever had. The fries were fresh, crispy, and lightly seasoned. Poutine gravy is A+. Will be back for sure!

Very good burger joint! The place and the staff are super nice. I had the burger sur place and it was absolutely delicious, an exceptional burger! The patty is juicy and fantastic, and the bun is perfectly soft and balanced, holding everything together just right. The burger is truly out of this world 🤯 the fries are good, but not quite at the same level as the burger. Casse-croûte Mange dans mon Hood is a MUST-TRY!

The 75 minute drive was well worth it. It was the most flavor packed burgers I've ever had. The bacon jam was just perfect. I can't wait to go back... I went for lunch, might stay in Montreal to go back for dinner 😋
