Joe was fabulous. Helped my group of four (none of whom had ever eaten in a Portuguese restaurant) with wine and dinner selections. Fantastic service. Thanks so much from some Vancouverites (plus an ex-Montrealer).

One of the worst service I have ever gotten. We were a group of 4 and arrived at 7pm. We ordered at 7h30pm and our food only arrived at 8h45pm. We waited over an hour for food absolutely drenched in oil. A friend of mine was not only cut off while he was ordering his food (wanted to order wine but waiter cut him off and went off) but also found metal shreds in his plate after all that wait. The service was the worst part of this experience. I really wanted to like the place given the nice atmosphere. We had to call the waiter every time to either refill bread or give us an update on the orders while we watched him take good care of other tables he seemed acquainted with. And good luck getting him to come to your table! He will see you but wont come to your table. We felt completely left on the side. When we asked to complain to the manager : our waiter was apparently the manager... and he was absolutely unapologetic. Took plates away without asking if we were done (one of us was not) and did not apologize when his service was criticised. Terrible.

Best Portuguese restaurant in Montreal by far. Owners create an awesome experience and dishes are typical of the north and are prepared by a master chef.

The warm Mediterranean atmosphere is wonderful. The service was a bit of a slow burn—our waiter was hard to find at times, but whenever he showed up, his great energy really added to the mood

I had the worst experience ever dining with my family in this restaurant, the food was great tho but the service was the worst , we were so mistreated and I felt like we were racially profiled , they took forever to put in our order , we waited for more than an hour just to get our appetizer and mind you i still tip 20 % , we left feeling humiliated. Out server was ignoring us the whole time, my son was trying to get his attention to get our bill but no response whatsoever I don’t recommend this restaurant at all

My family and I have been going here for years. It’s one of the gems of Montreal restaurants. The food is authentic, delicious, and proportionate to the cost. My favourite dishes are the grilled octopus and shrimp entrees, the sea food rice main dish, and the aroz doce (sweet rice) dessert. The service here is unlike others. From the moment you enter, to the second you leave, the waiters are always making sure you well taken care of. The atmosphere makes me feel like I’m back in Portugal; with the beautiful decor and homey feel. All in all, this place is not only a must try, but also a tradition to eat here.

I used to go there when I was a kid and a teenager. Took my girlfriend there for Valentine's Day. This restaurant is still awesome. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Food is wonderful. (Try the shrimp entrée; trust me, it is worth it.)
