Convenient location (on Rue St-Denis near Theatre St-Denis); easy to reserve online or by phone; clean; quiet (but there is regular live Flamenco music later on some evenings - we were there on a Sunday); nice atmosphere; warm reception; good Spanish (Catalonian) menu (paella, fish, seafood, tapas etc.), and well stocked European wine and spirits list; drinks and food were served quickly with good presentation; very good price/quality; recommend.
What guests say about Casa Galicia
Casa Galicia seems to be a good choice in Montreal for a warm Spanish experience, with a friendly atmosphere often enlivened by flamenco. The food is very often described as delicious, with several positive mentions of the paellas, tapas, and seafood, and the service is generally considered attentive and welcoming. A few reviews do note some points to watch for, such as prices perceived as high, differences in the menu, and a few isolated negative experiences regarding the service or the quality of the dishes.

Amazing food and flamingo show was cherry on the top very friendly staff
It was fresh and tasty. For those that never tried the real Spanish food is good. It's a tad off for those who have been in Spain. Not disappointed. Good tout court
Lost my husband nearly a year ago and haven’t really been able to go out alone. Today was the first time I went to have dinner at a restaurant and I guess the maître d’hôte felt it ? He took the time to chat, asked me where I was from, made me feel comfortable. The service was great! The food was delicious. But I’m leaving 5 stars for making me feel so welcomed.
Everything was absolutely wonderful!! From the attentive service to the delicious food, and even the incredible Flamenco show! The whole experience felt vibrant and authentic. A special thank you to Firo for making our evening so memorable. We truly had an amazing time and will definitely be back!
Wonderful restaurant! The paella was delicious. If you get the chance to go a night when there’s a Flamenco dancer, it’s quite romantic.
Absolutely loved this place! The food was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The paella was rich and perfectly cooked, and the tapas were amazing for sharing. The atmosphere felt warm and lively, with great music and cozy Spanish vibes. Staff were friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Definitely one of the best Spanish restaurants I’ve tried — highly recommend for date nights or dinners with friends! We were served by Firo
Had such an amazing experience at Casa Galicia in Montreal! The manager, Firo, was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive from the moment we walked in. He really made the night special. The ambiance was so lively and fun — it genuinely felt like we were in Spain. The food, atmosphere, and hospitality were all unforgettable. Can’t wait to come back!
Incredible service, fantastic food
Great place with real Spanish house atmosphere, food was extremely delicious, we ordered lobster bisque, paella and seafood stew - portions were really big!service is great! Highly recommend
Amazing in every sense. I attended for my wife's birthday aling with our teenage daughters. A great culinary and cultural experience.
This place totally blew us away way. Fantastic food, ambiance and service. Highly recommend the discovery for two. Give it a try you won’t regret. It’s rare to have all 3 service, food and ambiance being a 10!
Very quaint Spanish restaurant with amazing service and vibrant atmosphere. The servers are fantastic. Food options are amazing. Definitely recommend the steak.
This restaurant is brilliant! The atmosphere brings you to the heart of Spain and it gives you the full South European experience. The food is delicious and their seafood is amazingly good! I really loved the owner, a very warmhearted man with love for his clients. It really feels like home when you first come here and I strongly recommend trying this place.
Frido was amazing, gorgeous experience, 10/10
This was a fantastic restaurant. The seafood is fresh and cooked perfectly. You have to take the paella. The main reason why we had such a great experience was due to Firo. What a gem. He’s funny, attentive, and very welcoming. He sings when he is working which I find so sweet. My family and I loved everything. The service and food was a 10/10.
Authentic Spanish food, everything was amazing. Atmosphere like you're transported to Spain. Top notch.
Exceptional service and Spanish ambiance. Paella here reminds me of the paellas in Spain. Our waiter David was amazing!
The atmosphere and the flamenco experience is very nice! This was our second time coming and we were not disappointed with the paellas! Truly delicious! The employees are friendly.
Such a unique and authentic experience. Best paella in Canada… With brilliant guitarist/singer and flamenco dancer. This video speaks for itself.
It looks great but not much action, the server is pretty intense and borderline rude.
If you want to impress somebody (even yourself) you must try this place. Casa Galicia is located in Quartier Latin of Montréal with fantastic food, bringing the traditional flavours to your table where you can have great seafood, good wine and the most fantastic paella that brought me back to Spain. The service... Madre mia! Excellent!! Very nice staff, attentive and the recommendations were incredibly accurate. On weekends (at least Fridays and Saturdays) there's a live show with a very talented musician and the flamenco performance is absolutely lovely. Only point to improve, the desserts :( Book one day of your weekend to spend here, trust me.
Had a lovely night out at Casa Galicia. The seafood and Paella were delicious, fresh and portions were generous. The staff were very pleasant and sociable. The ambiance was very cozy and the decor was authentic. We were even offered a complementary Porto after our meal.We had a wonderful time and will go back.
Delicious dishes, good size and fair prices, got the chance to discover it through the app Spectra, it is a hidden gem. Recommended spot!
We were walking nearby and spontaneously decided to stop in for supper. They easily accommodated us with a table for two. To our surprise, there was a live flamenco show, which made the evening even more memorable. The appetizers and main course were excellent, full of flavours, well seasoned and nicely prepared. Every dish we tried was delicious. We will definitely return.
