My wife and I enjoyed our experience at Carrera Café. This is a cafe with an F1 auto racing theme. Clean and comfortable seating inside with charm of the old stone construction in Petit-Champlain district. We were warmly welcomed upon entering. They offer service and menus in French and English. Although we speak English primarily, we are trying to develop our French skills so we had a mix of both speaking and listening during this visit. The service was polite, helpful, friendly, and attentive. The coffee options are exactly what one could hope for at a coffee shop. The wine options offer availability by the glass as well as premium high end bottle service choices. The salad we had was delicious and the charcuterie was exquisite. We highly recommend this place for food and drinks. We will gladly come here again next time we are in Quebec City.

The homemade focaccia sandwiches were delicious! We had the Panamericana and the Pit Lane Classic, the latter was our favourite with the pickled onions. The only reason it's not a 5 star is for the price point of the sandwiches ($22 and $24) felt a bit steep; it would be nice if it came with a small side salad or some kettle chips perhaps. The atmosphere was nice, warm, and service was attentive and pleasant. Would happily return and try more of the food and drinks!

Regarding pricing, we completely understand your perspective. Operating in Petit-Champlain and working with fresh, high-quality local ingredients does influence our pricing structure. That said, your suggestion about including a small side is very fair feedback and we will add that in the next days. Great place to have a drink or a coffe! Plus great food. Owner and staff are very nice and they create a great vibe ! I recommand it.

I don't know how long this place has been open. I liked the concept; it's very stylish. Today, I was there with a friend for a cocktail. We had a minor misunderstanding with the establishment's representatives which demonstrated their high level of professionalism. The way business representatives handle crisis situations demonstrates their attitude toward clients. I really appreciate their customer focus and politeness, so based on this incident, I recommend this establishment! I wish you prosperity in your business 🥂

We’ve been open since August 2025, and as a new establishment, there have been a few administrative steps along the way.. particularly the approval process for our exterior signage with the city’s urban planning department. (which can be quite complex in a heritage district 😅) These procedures took more time than expected, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. That said, we are actively finalizing everything, and the situation will be fully resolved very soon.
