I recently ordered a meal from Cantine Emilia and got the “Pacheco” bowl. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I found an insect inside the food. This is not something anyone expects when ordering a meal, and it raises serious concerns about food safety and quality control. I hope the restaurant takes this issue seriously and improves their standards. I’m sharing this to raise awareness and hopefully prevent this from happening to someone else.

Excellent spot with consistently great food and a welcoming vibe. Emilia in Villeray offers a really enjoyable dining experience, with flavorful Portuguese dishes that feel fresh and well prepared. The menu has a nice variety, and everything is cooked with care, from the mains to the sides. Portions are satisfying, and the quality is evident in every bite. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, making it a great place for both casual meals and small gatherings. The staff are attentive and make you feel welcome without being overbearing, which adds to the overall experience. It’s the kind of place you can come back to regularly and still enjoy every time.

Food was absolutely fresh and authentic chicken and rice, employees and staff were extremely professional and polite especially Jesse. Very smooth and calm ambiance Worth coming back!!!
