This café is truly very cozy and welcoming. The atmosphere is comfortable, the place is always very clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. The food is always delicious, and you can really feel that they care about their guests. For coffee lovers, this place is perfect. I always enjoy coming here and would definitely recommend it!🤍🤍🤍
Terrible service. My coffee was mediocre at best.
Great food and ambience. Well worth a visit!
Food was VERY good. Simple, delicious, ingredients, cooked beautifully.
Came here for lunch and really enjoyed it. Got the smoked salmon croissant and wife got the avocado toast. We both loved it and the side potatoes are great as well! Great stop for lunch in old town.
Cafeterra is a gem among the restaurants and cafes here. It’s a small and upscale place with exceptionally well prepared and tasty food. Their pastries are delightful as well! The coffees are masterfully prepared - seriously. The mugs, cups and stemware are very fun as well and elevate the experience. It’s best for daytime meals including brunch. I’ve been coming here for years as a special treat with friends and family. It’s first come, first serve for seating, so if you have a larger group it may be tough at peak hours. I’ll keep coming back for sure!
Great place to relax and have a cup of coffee or tea
The coffee and croissants were very good, fresh, and enjoyable. The place has a cozy vibe which we loved. However, the service wasn’t the warmest. The lady with short blonde hair seemed a bit stressed or upset, which made me feel hesitant to even ask where the washroom was. With a friendlier approach to customer service, this café could be a really great spot.
The food is delicious! The service is fantastic, the owner is fabulous and it was the perfect brunch spot with my friends!
Great place to start the day
It was a modern clean cafe. The food was good, latte was great! Nice staff. No lineup.
I like to support Ukrainian owned businesses and this one was conveniently located near Notre Dame. In terms of food and coffee, it was pretty average and didn’t match the many other great breakfast spots in Montreal, so I wouldn’t return. I had the vegetarian avocado toast, and felt the bread was a bit soggy - a crustier sourdough would help. The espresso macchiato was very dark roasted and also not my favorite.
The brunch menu and pastry selection were both very enjoyable. The avocado toast and shakshuka had great flavor, and we really liked the overall food experience. The only area that could use improvement is the service. After finishing our main dishes, we ordered pastries to enjoy at the table. Shortly after, a large group arrived, and the manager approached us to ask when we would be done, as they needed to accommodate the incoming guests. We let her know we were already planning to leave before finishing the pastries, but the interaction felt rushed. It would be helpful if the staff allowed guests to finish their visit without feeling pressured to vacate the table, even during busy periods. A more discreet or courteous approach—or offering an alternative solution—would make the dining experience feel more welcoming and relaxed.
The food was delicious. The seating area is kind of crammed - good for eating the food but not for eating and talking in a relaxed way.
