When we talk about customer service, I think that’s exactly what Frank at Café Milano Laval is all about. Outstanding service, welcoming atmosphere, and always attentive to customers. Add to that the excellent food, and it’s easy to recommend Café Milano without hesitation. A big thank you to Frank and the entire team for the great experience every time.

Bianca served me, a absolute sweetheart! She recommended a sandwich that was amazing, I can’t remember the name but I guess if you meet her ask her for her order 😙 10/10 service, 10/10 sandwich ! Also for students outlets at the tables with the benches would be so nice!!!

We all know the food and beverages here are far superior to most. Everything is consistently on point and delicious. But where this place truly stands out is the service. In such a fast-paced environment, they somehow manage to make every single client feel special, important, and genuinely heard. It never feels rushed, even when they’re clearly busy. They treat you with the utmost respect every single time, and that says everything. If 6 out of 5 were an option, they’d get it without hesitation.

Certains endroits servent de la nourriture. D’autres servent les gens. Ici, on fait les deux—et de façon exceptionnelle. Some places serve food. Others serve people. This place does both—and does it exceptionally well. I’ve now been to Cafe Milano twice in the same week—once for lunch and once for dinner—and I can honestly say this place is something special. The atmosphere is vibrant and full of life. It’s always packed, but never feels chaotic. If you’re willing to wait a few minutes, you’ll find a seat—and it’s absolutely worth it. There’s a real sense of community here, with people from all walks of life simply enjoying being there. The food and coffee are excellent across the board. The coffee is perfectly done. The sandwiches are fresh and thoughtfully prepared—fresh buns, high-quality meats, crisp vegetables, and small details like pickles and a drizzle of oil or sauce that bring everything together. I had a zeppole (ricotta pastry), and it was delicious. Even the poutine—while not traditional (grated mozzarella instead of curds)—was very well executed: perfectly cooked fries, rich and balanced gravy, and great overall flavor. What truly sets this place apart is the service and culture. You can tell right away—these people love what they do. The team is attentive, kind, and incredibly efficient. They take your name and somehow find you in a full room, which is impressive on its own. As someone who doesn’t speak French, I appreciated how welcoming and patient everyone was. Every interaction made me feel comfortable and taken care of. Also worth noting: despite how busy it is, the place is consistently clean and well maintained. Tables are constantly being wiped, floors are kept in good condition, and the whole operation runs with focus and excellence. I genuinely wish we had something like this in Calgary—I’ll miss it. To the entire team: thank you. You are doing something special here. Keep going with that same passion, care, and commitment. The entire staff of Milano’s Laval are very warm and welcoming! They treat everyone here like family and friends. Amazing food— as always. The eggplants are my absolute favorite!

The atmosphere and service is exquisitely parallel to the food and drinks, not to mention, their unbelievable sandwiches and pastry selections. Very uplift cozy environment, with courteous staff waiting to serve meticulously prepared produce. Dietary restricted guests can enjoy the super Tuna Sandwich, and/or vegetarian/vegan salads, sandwiches and beverages. Ordered - Chicken sandwich - Tuna sandwich - Beef Sandwich - large Chocolate Chip Cookies - espresso shots

I ordered the chicken sandwich and had to remove all the chicken because it was rubbery and had a weird chew to it , not sure if it was fresh or not cooked right. But I will definitely not return

Impressive! The best italian sandwich in town....the best pistachio ice cream in the world (I don't believe that I can find something better than that) we also tried the Nutella Bomba and...mmmmm.....we gota pray while we're eating soooo delicious it is. I didn't have the coffee but I was staring them preparing it and apparently it is amazing and very creamy. I didn't give 5 stars for the ambiance cause I prefer the other CafeMilano in Saint Leonard, just because it's more original, cozy.

Stopped by Café Milano for a quick bite and had a really good experience. I ordered a sandwich and it was fresh and tasty, and the salad was great too. It’s a fast, convenient spot when you’re on the go.

Great place to meet for a coffee, socializing and catching up on the greatest gossip on the goings on in soccer! You will learn more about the players, coaches, political influence and schedules here than anything CHTgpt can ever teach you ! They have great vegan dishes to boot - and regular fare for the less entrenched in living well
