A simulacrum of a cafe. The decor is the best part but that's only because the building is pretty. The barista was also very nice and sweet, even if she was wearing a beret (??) I paid 20$ for 2 weak lattes and an obviously grocery store quality reheated chocolatine. Tips start at 18% which is NOT normal for Quebec. The menu is in garbled french and the store's sign is AI generated with a fake heritage date and more garbled french. It reads like an AI generated the menu then machine-translated it. The brunch looks nothing like their promo pictures, which are also AI. Reading the reviews of this place from other people, it reads like keyword/SEO stuffing, and I don't buy that half of these are real people. One review (from a real woman!) said that free refills were not offered, even though the AI-generated poster clearly says, free refills offered. It's an overpriced, misleading, eerie trap for tourists. Everything was generated by an AI likely to cut costs as much as possible. This was meant for tourists and the algorithm. It was not meant to be a real cafe, and there was clearly no love, passion or soul put into this place. Shameful. The building is nice though.

Breakfast was not great: cold toasts, unevenly cooked eggs, etc. Waited way too long for such a simple meal. There were also mistakes in our coffee order. Also way too expensive for a basic brunch meal.

Si je pouvais donner un zéro au service je donnerais un zéro. La propriétaire était extrêmement désagréable et hautaine. J’étais venu prendre une matcha et j’étais avec une jeune adolescente qui se cherche un emploi. Nous avons vu qu’il y avait une affiche démontrant la recherche d’employés. La propriétaire s’est moqué du caractère de la jeune adolescente et a émis un jugement sur elle concernant sa personnalité sans la connaître. Ses réponses étaient secs, hautaines et contradictoires. 0/5

I want to like this place even more but the morning shift can use an extra person to help out especially during tourist season. This is my second time here and it took over 29 min for a simple cappuccino! Seems the barista cannot make more than one drink or order at a time. Not good!
