Bakery is okay, coffee is regular coffee a bit overpriced but the view is nice. Also place it's not bee friendly, traps everywhere to kill the bees (I pay attention to the bait and it's sugar so it's not designed for wasp only)

Hi VP, We actually love dogs here - yours is always welcome on our terrace, and we even have a dedicated doggy takeout window where they get a treat with your order. The one exception is inside the cafe itself (aside from service dogs, who are always welcome while you order): that’s a MAPAQ regulation for any establishment preparing food indoors, not our choice. We’re always looking for ways to be as dog-friendly as possible within those rules, and we’d love to have you and your pup back.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE MA BICY!! Love the people, the coffee (obv) and the regulars. I moved to the area about 3 years ago and I come almost every day. The baristas are the best (Val, Sarah, Mario to name a few), they always spoil my dog with a bunch of treats - I always feel like my dog has a more VIP service than I do (exactly what should happen, duh!) the owners are so warm and welcoming and the regulars there are truly the best. Keep coming regularly and we’ll befriend you! :) It truly is a hidden gem in the southwest! Great terrace, right by the canal - such a vibe in the summer. It’s really the best and only option if you wanna chill next to the water and have a great summer day. Anyways, Ma Bicy is part of my routine and I’m so happy to have found a strong community there! Thank you for all you do and for continuing to deliver joy and great stuff even in the most busy days 🩵

I visit Montreal several times a year from the States. I always make sure to enjoy a walk along the Lachine Canal. Definitely recommend taking this in during the spring and fall. During each visit, I make sure to stop for a break at the café. I’m a cold brew fiend (expectations met), and the pastries are always a welcome treat during these canal walks. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and kind. The café has a dog window, and the excitement when a pup comes by genuinely fills the atmosphere. If you’re walking the canal, this café is a must-stop. It’s also super close to the Atwater Market. You can take a drink to go, then walk over the bridge to enjoy the market. It’s a great location, lovely treats, tasty drinks, and super-friendly people. Stop in, say hi, get a drink, and make some new friends (both human and fur).

i have a sneaking suspicion the "cold brew" is actually hot brewed filter coffee poured over ice; if not, they have to be using the worst coffee beans on earth because the cold brew tastes like a wooden table. but good service and atmosphere and everyone else seemed to be enjoying their drinks (until this guy hit his head on a light and shattered it into a million pieces) so i can't judge too harshly

Hi Henri SL. Sorry to hear you did not enjoy your cold brew. We use a special cold brew blend by Barista Coffee. We let it steep for 18 hours in cold water - in the refrigerator and then filter it. It never touches any heat. Our iced Americano is a double shot of espresso on ice with cold water added. The fellow who broke the light fixture is fine and unbothered.

Got the caprese sandwhich and it was super refreshing and flavorful, perfect sandwhich for the hot days in the summer. The staff was super friendly and sweet too. Great place to stop by for coffee and food when walking around the canal
