It was extremely busy due to the F1 weekend, and the staff seemed overwhelmed trying to manage the crowd in this small restaurant. We ordered our food to go in case we could not get a table or needed to leave quickly. However… after bringing the food, the waitress told us that “in Montreal, restaurants are not allowed to serve food to go if customers are dining in because they can get “fined.” This did not seem accurate and was confusing. If the restaurant has its own policy about takeout orders not being eaten inside, that is completely fine, but it should be communicated clearly instead of giving misleading information. I would recommend avoiding busy F1 race days, as the restaurant becomes very crowded and the experience may suffer

Always a reliable place for great coffee and amazing services. The little small local business such as this cafe, is what make I fall in love with Montréal and the people here 👌✌️
The food was amazing ❤️ and our host Kelly was very nice, warm and welcoming in her nature. We ate Nutella-Banana crepes and Veggie omlette. It tasted amazing 🤩.
YOU MUST TRY THE PISTACHIO CREPE WITH RASPERRY PURÉE best crepe I’ve ever had, insane value for what you pay - a repeat brunch order for me
Decided to visit this establishment before a 7 hour drive, and we were extremely suprised and thoroughly enjoyed the helpful staff, the delicious food, and the atmosphere. Wish it wasnt so far because we would be regulars at this adorable cafe.
Amazing experience! The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and professional. The service was quick, and everyone made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was absolutely delicious — fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. Everything we ordered was excellent. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great food and outstanding customer service.
Stopped in here for a cup of tea on a cold May morning. The lovely lady at the counter was so warm and welcoming that I was immediately comfortable there. When I apologised for my rickety French, she immediately switched to English, and when I said I was from Newfoundland, we bonded instantly. (She confided she's always wanted to visit us!) Cafe Lulu is the best of Montreal: a small, unassuming space with plenty of room and loads of delicious pastries and other delicacies. Exquisitely clean and tidy, and the tables are close enough that you can get to know your neighbours -- like the lovely young family from Oman I met! If you are in Montreal, don't miss this place. It's absolutely the best.
The staff are SO lovely. Cute little cafe and great food. Would highly recommend.
Delicious crepes and coffee, and great service!
Super friendly and really fresh, delicious food . This place doesn’t look much from the outside and we almost walked past but thank goodness we didn’t . We saw the reviews which is why we visited and we are so glad we went in. Really tasty and well priced food . Wonderful staff.
Solid go to breakfast restaurant. The service is quick and good variety of options and a calm sitting area

Marvelous; super tasty French toast, super friendly staff, and super quick service. Zero complaints.
Very happy to find this on my weekend holiday. Had friends with me from Toronto and we all ended up there at some point every day for a coffee or a snack. The crepes were great for breakfast!
Everything was so good
If you want to start your morning feeling happy and refreshed in Montreal, this is the place to go! There’s something about the energy inside. The staff are genuinely warm, friendly, and seem like they actually enjoy being there, which makes a huge difference. The cafe itself is small, but that’s part of its charm. It feels cozy, intimate, and full of this quiet, joyful atmosphere that’s hard to find. You walk in and immediately feel lighter. The food was clearly made fresh, and you can taste the difference right away. Nothing felt rushed or pre-made. It had that simple, honest quality that makes you appreciate it more. Also, I really appreciated that they took the time to explain the French menu in English without making it awkward or rushed. That kind of thoughtfulness sticks with you. Overall, a small space, but full of happiness. Thank you!
Really memorable first impression of montreal :) This was the first place we visited during our stay and it could not have been a better start to our trip. Kelly was very welcoming and friendly along with the rest of the staff. The crepes and french vanilla latte were the highlight. Merci beaucoup 🙌❤️
A very chill cafe. The staff (owner?) are very welcoming and sweet. Amazing coffee and food. Good vibe all round
