I’ve had one of the best burgers in my life at this place. Their Le Hibou Sirloin Burger is very delicious, a must have really. The bun was crusty and fresh, the burger juicy, and they served it with yummy cheese on top. Inside the cafe, the atmosphere is very pleasant. Service is great, too.

I hit the culinary jackpot with an outstanding view of a beautiful river and rolling hills. What a great spot! They do up a roast every Monday, so tonight’s dinner gem was tender roast beef with all the wonderful accompaniments - yum! I’ll be back indeed!
Service was excellent Friendly atmosphere
Arrived yesterday for supper, we have been here a few times and the food was ok, but it’s convenient and close to home. But last night was the last time. We arrived and it was busy, there was a table of 6 and 4 ahead of us, which is fine. The table of 4 was at the bar having a drink and moved to their table to eat. When it came to our turn, we were told to wait, and that we could not move from the bar to a table if one became available. Absolutely not acceptable! We will not return as the hostess was completely rude about it as well.
Great little spot. Food is always tasty regardless of what you decide to order. We love every food option they offer. Check out the little desert bakery located behind. Awesome food places that will not disappoint.
This is the best dining spot for pub fare in the village. Staff are always friendly, food is tasty and I always have a good time. Favourites include beef burger and bet & bean burger. Try out their take home meals too! Butter chicken, spicy panneer, thai curry and the bourginon are all fantastic!
Food: ⭐⭐⭐/5 A mixed plate, but overall enjoyable. The soup of the day was the highlight — flavourful, generously portioned, and clearly made with care. The butter chicken poutine had potential, but missed the mark this visit: arrived lukewarm and surprisingly light on chicken (only a single small piece). The flavours were still nice, but temperature and balance held it back. Drinks: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 The Virgin Cesar was refreshing, tasty, and a great non-alcoholic option (they have many non-alcoholic options), especially if you want something more interesting than soda. Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Warm, welcoming, and attentive — servers were friendly and made the experience feel relaxed and unrushed. Atmosphere: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Cozy Wakefield charm with a relaxed vibe — exactly the kind of spot you want to linger in after a hike or weekend drive. ⸻ ✔ Best for: • Comfort soups • Mocktails and specialty drinks • Casual meals with friends or family • A scenic day-trip stop ✘ Could Improve: • Ensure hot dishes arrive hot • More chicken in the butter chicken poutine ⸻ ⭐ Final Verdict: 4/5 A charming café with great service and standout drinks — a few tweaks in the kitchen and it could easily hit 5 stars.
Excellent service from Jeff. Very good breakfast, ample portions and reasonably priced.
Best drink I've ever had was their Meringué, and the French Onion soup was such an amazing treat on a cold snowy day
