Incredible food, prices, playlist, service, and we got so comfy on the swings and the theatre seats, soaking up the sun and the plants . It’s the little things like the water refill station, the family/kid area in the back, and the positive attitude by the owner that make you realize these are genuine people that care about their community . I will be back !❤️
What guests say about Café Komma Rosta
A very warm and cozy neighborhood café in Verdun, appreciated for its friendly atmosphere, eclectic decor, and original seating like swings and vintage chairs. Japanese and Japanese-inspired food often stands out as a highlight, with dishes, snacks, and drinks frequently described as tasty, fresh, and well priced. Several reviews also mention good service and a welcoming vibe for families and children. One detail to note: one comment mentioned that a matcha cookie was a little too sweet.

Chill, chill, chill…
Very cute café with swings inside, brings out your inner child. The food and the kitsune udon is a hug for the soul and always hits the spot. Their coffee is very good and the owner and the staff are always very kind and courteous!
We loved their playing space for toddler ans children ! It is a nice family friendly coffre shop.
One of the few places you can get a large breakfast sandwich for $10. There is also a dedicated kids play area at the back.
Great spot for a light meal and some beverages! Really enjoyed the hojicha latte and red smoothie whole my friends couldn’t get enough of the onigiri (they ordered three separate times because they wanted more). It was also a very nice hangout spot.
Maybe my new favorite spot in the neighborhood. There's some cheap food options, the coffee is very tasty and the mood is great.
Warm and cozy café in Verdun serving great, reasonably priced Japanese dishes, snacks, and drinks. The décor is slightly eclectic, with different types of seating, and the architecture lets in plenty of natural light. The café is also kid-friendly, with a dedicated play area. We ordered the Kitsune Udon, Japanese Curry Rice, and Kashiwa Mochi. All the dishes were well-balanced, and although they looked simple and homey, the flavours of each ingredient were highlighted beautifully and intentionally.
Love the old movie seats and hanging table! 2 thumbs up! Great chai chai latte. Nice place to just chill
Very cute and cozy neighborhood café specializing in japanese products. They have several matcha and hojicha drinks as well as some japanese meals and pastries. The inside is very unique, as every chair and tables are different. There’s even a table with swings for chairs.
