Café Gentile West Island is consistently excellent. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between modern and welcoming — great for a casual coffee, a business meeting, or a relaxed lunch or dinner. The coffee is top-tier, rich and smooth, and you can tell they take pride in every cup. The food is just as impressive. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and a menu that offers something for everyone What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff — welcoming, attentive, and so genuine that they make you feel right at home. Beautiful restaurant wow, thank you for bringing downtown to the West Island (without the traffic and lack of parking)....Great service and best of all, the food is outstanding. Well done Gentile team....From the appetizers to the salads, to the main's amazing, flavorful and excellent quality. We will definitely be back.

Cafe Gentille DDO made me a nice late and cookie 🍪 the coffee ☕ is well made and the cookie is delicious, and the person who made the coffee was very polite. I love the interior design and the Sicilian flag ❤️ Its a very nice place to have coffee in West Island

Passed by with some friends on a Sunday evening around 7 pm and it was busy. Very nicely decorated and seating was very comfortable. Our waitress Marika was excellent. Friendly, attentive and efficient. We shared a margherita pizza to start which was delicious. My wife had the Veal al limone which she said was good. I wouldn’t have been happy with that plate as the portion was 3 small and thin slices of veal for $40. I would have still been hungry. I had the Chicken parmigiana which was delicious but instead of serving it with a side of pasta, I got fries. Wasn’t crazy about that substitution. My friends also had the veal as well as the cavatelli which was delicious. A nice meal in a nice environment with good service but a few small shortcomings. Highly suggest them to drop the fries with the chicken parmigiana and increase the portion on the veal. Recommended.

I finally made it to Café Gentile for brunch, and it was well worth the wait. It was quite busy when I arrived, but I was seated at the bar, which worked perfectly since I was dining alone. Serena (I hope I’m spelling her name correctly) was working behind the bar and was absolutely lovely — warm, personable, and always smiling. I ordered the Avocado Crostini, a Gentile Spritz, and a latte. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the latte was excellent. Since I hadn’t yet tried their dinner menu, I made a reservation and returned with my husband. Once again, the restaurant was very busy, which says a lot. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and shown to our table promptly. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy, with great music that adds to the overall experience. Our server, Bella, was attentive without being intrusive — the perfect balance. For appetizers, I had the Artichoke Crostini and my husband ordered the special (Argentine shrimp with quinoa). Both were beautifully presented and full of flavor. For mains, I chose the Grilled Branzino, which was perfectly cooked, and my husband had the Madison Square Garden pizza, which he thoroughly enjoyed. We ended the evening with a brownie topped with marshmallow and vanilla gelato — a sweet and satisfying finish. Thank you to Serena for the thoughtful treat. Between Serena and Bella, the service was outstanding on both visits. Café Gentile delivers not only excellent food but also a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to return. Highly recommended for both brunch and dinner in the West Island.

Food is good, a bit pricey for a small portion of appetizer and pasta. Waitress service is not so good, but the bar man tried his best that we still have a good experience.

I was so excited to try this new location and it did not disappoint at all! From the moment we walked in, the service was great, the staff is always so genuinely welcoming at Gentile's. And as usual, the food was amazing! We had the STK wrap (10/10), the charred up pizza (9/10) and the lasagna parlour (8.5/10). Also love EVERYTHING the design team is doing over there from the packaging to the merch to the restaurant layout.

Up : amaing service Beautiful decor Sandwich and salad were top Down: this is not for a quick non tip Milano style meal Suggested 18% tip , go out of your way to go 15%. Not a practice I support

Had a night out with some friends there. Place was good from the moment we got in. Vibe was warm and welcoming without feeling overdone. The bar deserves special praise and the whole crew is super friendly. We’ll definitely be back for more.

Went for dinner. The portion sizes for the price they charge is outrageous. 2 tiny meatballs (think ikea size meatballs) for 16$ is theft in my opinion. We were 6 people, not one of us left happy or satisfied. We left hungry. The service, honestly I really felt bad for the sweet boy that was serving us. He obviously had no experience and he was out of his element. I don’t blame the server, even though he lost our order on the way to place the order and came back 15 minutes later to admit his mistake and retake our order. That being said not one member of the staff looked older than 19-21 years old. If you are going to charge upscale prices, please put food on the plates and hire people with experience who can at the very least explain the nightly specials. We go very often to the West Island for dinner with friends, this is the first time I leave a restaurant and feel so disappointed that I’m writing a review.
