I’m not usually one to leave reviews, but this needs to be said. We had an 8:00 p.m. reservation and waited 40–45 minutes just to be seated, which is far beyond a reasonable grace period. Once seated, we waited another 20 minutes with no server, no introduction, and not even water brought to the table. From arrival to any form of service, it took nearly an hour. That said, credit to the manager in white — he handled the situation well and offered us free shots. Because of him, I’m giving 3 stars. Service, especially around reservations and basic table care, really needs improvement.

We were disappointed with our experience. Despite having a reservation, we waited about 40 minutes to be seated. What was more frustrating is that once we were finally at our table, it took another 20 minutes before our waitress came over to introduce herself and take our orders. Water wasn’t brought to the table until we specifically asked for it. The food portions were quite small and not very filling considering the wait and the prices. Overall, the service was slow, inattentive and uncoordinated. Unfortunately, this wasn’t what we expected and we left disappointed. We definitely wouldn’t come back to this restaurant especially for the poor service we received.

The pizza is pretty good. I wouldn’t recommend the burrata as a salad, it’s not really one, but it could work well as an appetizer.

Went to visit my daughter for a weekend and she brought me to Gentile for a coffee . ABSOLUTELY BEST coffee I had in all if Montreal. Bold, smooth and excellent. Wished I lived closer just to stop by every morning to enjoy your coffee

We've been waiting a long time for a coffee place of this caliber in the west island, and finally Gentile opened. It's a shame that the coffee portion of the restaurant is so small and you can't even have coffee in the restaurant portion. We're not in need of just an expensive restaurant in the west, but a coffee place that serves food.

The stunning architecture makes Cafe Gentile a fun place to go for brunch, lunch or coffee. However, both coffees that I ordered ( Latte and Cappucino) arrived luke-warm. The food was ok, the service attentive but clearly trying to clear the table fast (Sunday morning). I have had better coffee, but the atmosphere would motivate me to come back.

Incredible service Jess was a fantastic hostess. Food was really good. Only downside was no decafe coffee. For those of you who are caffeine sensitive this was a drag. It would be nice to enjoy a nice dessert with a coffee without the caffeine. Also bought take out...everything very good. Hopefully they add decafe coffee to their menu.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Our waitress, Bella, was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful throughout the meal — she truly made us feel welcome. We ordered pizza, and it was absolutely delicious: fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Great food and excellent service made for a really enjoyable visit. We’ll definitely back !!
