We really enjoy Cafe Depot and want to continue supporting the business because the coffee is consistently good and the cafés have a welcoming atmosphere. One suggestion we hope the company will consider is creating a standardized way of preparing and pricing iced coffee across all locations. Our experience has been very inconsistent depending on which Cafe Depot we visit. Some locations don't offer iced coffee at all, others will only make an iced latte, some serve what is supposed to be an iced coffee almost lukewarm, while others make an excellent one. Pricing also seems to vary from one location to another, which can be confusing. Today's visit was another example. We simply asked for three black iced Americanos, nothing customized or complicated. The staff member told us they could only make them in a small size, which was perfectly fine with us. However, we were served what you can see in the attached photo: the smallest hot cups available, with coffees that were lukewarm rather than iced. Three small "iced" Americanos came to almost $15 CAD including tip, which felt expensive considering the size and the fact that they weren't actually cold. This isn't meant as criticism of the staff, but rather as feedback for the company. A clear, consistent recipe, serving method, available sizes, and pricing across all Coffee Depot locations would make the customer experience much more predictable and enjoyable. We genuinely enjoy your coffee and hope you'll consider standardizing your iced coffee offerings. We'd love to keep supporting Coffee Depot for many years to come.
