Best Lebanese breakfast place in town! Nicest owners!
Reviews / Ratings for Café chez Téta
Authentic and delicious.
Excellent food and drink !
People nice, delicious food and a very nice atmosphere. My wife and I lived a long time in the Middle East and love the Lebanese food. So whenever we have the desire, that’s a place for the famous manousche. They are delicious, the staff and people are very nice and prices are decent.
Nice place, very chill, the fattouch was good, the lahme bajin was good too but not like Lebanon.
Where's the sixth star? 🤔😅
I placed a catering order for an event. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the manoushe zaatar, fromage, lahrem bi ajin and kechek. Melodie personally delivered the order warm and fresh! I highly recommend trusting them with their service❤️
We came in with a large group and the owner went above and beyond to accommodate us! We tried a little bit of everything and it was all delicious but the egg and cheese manouchech (teta's version) was my favorite! The lattes were also amazing! Definitely worth a visit!
Café chez Téta is truly a hidden gem. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the warmth and passion behind this place. The owners are absolutely amazing—so welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring about every customer’s experience. The food is outstanding, and you can really taste the quality in every bite. The dough, in particular, is next level—perfectly soft, fresh, and full of flavor. It’s clear that everything is made with care and authenticity. The atmosphere is just as beautiful as the food—clean, cozy, and inviting. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or a relaxed meal, it’s always a great experience. Highly recommended. This is one of those places you try once and keep coming back to.
Had such a great brunch here—definitely a 4-5-star experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and everything came out quickly without feeling rushed. The food was excellent. Everything tasted fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor.
Decent. No one does it better than my teta anyways 😁
We always have the best experience there, the food is unbelievably tasty, the vibes are nice and Melodie is very smiley and perfect.
One of my favourite restaurant in Montréal! Manouchehs: - Half cheese half zaatar with cucumber tomato mint: 10/10 - Kafta cheese aïoli tomatoe: 10/10 - Teta's Falafel: 8/10 - Teta's Halloumi: 7/10 (the pesto is a bit sour for my taste and not pesto-y enough) - Teta's Kafta: 6/10 The combo (Teta's platter) makes it way too much food for one person imo. Better to share it between 2 people. The salad dressing is a bit sour so I ask for it on the side. Lattes: - Halva latte: 100/10 literally best latte I've ever had in my life - Cardamon latte: 8/10 Dip: - Baba ghanouj: 6/10
Thanks god this amazing place exists! 🤤
I lunched with my gf today, we are lucky that a place like Café chez Téta exists, to be able to export and make known to all people and nations the best tastes of Lebanese cuisine , they even add some twists of fusion to it, halloumi bacon, Rose water arak, etc All the past years I drank arak. I never had a Rose water Arak before and it was a very very good drink to have. Vive le Liban ! Vive la générosité Libanaise ! Addendum : What a great welcoming staff Mélodie the owner is a sweet and charming host, I recommend to all lovers of good vibes, good quality of food and unforgetful tastes !
This place is outstanding in every way possible. The food is exquisite, the service is above and beyond and the atmosphere so pleasant. The owner is there every single day, making sure everything runs to perfection. True dedication. This is a true gem in Montreal 💚
The Lebanese breakfast here is truly authentic and delicious—a real standout. However, the hospitality and courtesy from the hostess on Sunday definitely has room for improvement. Our waitress was great, she seemed to be the only one handling her stress with grace.
Food 1/5 Service 5/5 Atmosphere 3/5 I am actually disappointed seeing the reviews before going to that place. 1: It is not kids friendly. A kids friendly place would provide some crayons and coloring books for kids.. 2. Toilet is mixed (men and women) and no baby changing station. 3. Food is tasteless. Being a mystery shopper myself,I tried those: teta kafta, teta falafel, chicken special, man'ouche mixed and 5 cheese man'ouche ( I doubt there are even 2). They don't taste good. 4. Service is great, the waitress was super friendly and helpful 5. Reservations are not allowed. First come, first serve basis. 6. Atmosphere: none. Conclusion: never again..
Service is very slow, the labneh is (weirdly) served without olive oil and without bread, which is not the way it should be. I did not even get utensils, not a single fork with my plate, had to get up, find a waiter and ask for one. And my friend got sick after eating the meat manouché there...
Thank you Mélodie! Lovely spot for brunch. We came for brunch and enjoyed sharing a few dishes, everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfect for the table. Great Lebanese coffee and a warm atmosphere make it a place we’d definitely recommend.
This is average Mediterranean food in Montreal, and extremely low quality compared to restos in Lebanon. Not only that, it is EXTREMELY expensive. There are better places to go in town.
The service was amazing. Everyone was hospitable and kind. The food (manouche) was all very fresh and delicious and tasted like authentic Lebanese manakeesh. The coffee was strong which is just my preference and the cafe was really cozy
Bread saved me on a run
I made the mistake of ordering the chicken sandwich and it was honestly terrible. It was basically a big piece of bread with almost no chicken inside. No garlic flavor, no seasoning, nothing — just dry bread. And when you finally hit a piece of chicken, it tasted old, like it had been sitting around and then reheated in the microwave. Dry, rubbery, and completely flavorless. I couldn’t even finish it. Maybe their man’ouche are okay, but the chicken sandwich is a disaster. If you’re thinking of ordering it, do yourself a favor and don’t. Total waste of money. In response to the owner: Thank you for your response. The distinction between aioli and garlic sauce is not really the issue. The problem is simply that the sandwich I received had very little chicken, very little flavor, and the chicken that was there tasted dry and far from fresh. That was my genuine experience. Reviews exist so customers can share their experiences openly. Suggesting that a customer should not express their opinion publicly because the restaurant didn’t have the opportunity to correct the situation is not how feedback works. I’m sure many customers enjoy your food, and I’m glad if your ingredients are usually fresh. Unfortunately, the sandwich I received did not reflect that standard. In the end, reviews don’t create bad impressions — experiences do.
This is the second time we came here. The food ? Average. We asked for hot sauce. They brought cayan pepper and told they don't have the sauce. We had to wait to be seated, however we didn't get napkins, forks or any services!! For a place like that, this is weird! For the drinks, the lemonade was good. I don't recommend this place, since I gave two chances and not satisfied!
