Well this place was a very pleasant find. Verdun has a ton of options to eat at, most overpriced and made for people that have selfies on their daily to do list. Well not Cafe Benedictins. I went there twice in the space of a week after walking by it for years, and even though it was lunch time did breakfast twice cause life. The staff is very friendly and warm, the chairs are oversized and comfortable (appreciated as a bigger guy) the decor is kindof like a temu cabane a sucre but thats not what you are there for. The food was very good and the prices were very reasonable. I ordered the 3 meat, 2 egg special that come with beans, fruit, bread and hashbrowns for like $15.99. More to the point the hashbrowns were just excellent, I cant really remember better onces but there were standouts. My friends at the steak and eggs and both loved the seasoning and the chef nailed a medium well and rare cooking respectively. Recommended for a chill place with good food and vibes of a simpler time where everybody knows your name. I will be back, a lot more things to try on the menu and also they have daily lunch specials which when Im done with breakfast is happening next.
