Excellent choice of Quebec wine. Portions are small - more of a 'share' plate expereince, almost tapas. Hipster, low key but high end food atmosphere. Excellent service. really enjoyed my meal

What a wonderful spot! It is on the pricier side but worth it for a nice treat if you appreciate flavour, intention, and fresh ingredients. Highly recommend asking the servers for recommendations based on your hunger level and style (comfort versus delicate etc). Recommendation is at least 5-6 plates for 2 people, plus dessert. Their menu structurally remains the same but can evolve depending on the local ingredients they have access to. The aligot and chicken were highlights for both flavour but also size (more substantial, $$ than the others). But the blackcurrant pie was the perfect ending, the whipped cheese cream on top was delightful. If booking in the summer, reservations are highly recommended as they are very busy everyday. Really looking forward to returning!

We feel so fortunate to have discovered La Buvette Gentille on a quiet Sunday evening in while in Charlevoix. We are staying at a resort nearby and were looking for a change of scenery. The food and atmosphere were exceptional and each bite was beyond our expectations. We loved that everything was local and the team knew the producers and how each product was made including the wines, foie gras, seafood and meats. We would go out of our way to stop here again.
