Excellent poutine
Great place! Fun cocktails, and the burgers are phenomenal! Team there is sweet and gave great recommendations.
Pretty surprised by this place everything looked delicious. Burgers we saw on other tables looked amazing, but we only tried the mac and cheese and the Caesar salad, and both were very good. I’m pleasantly surprised. Thank you!
Thanks/merci a lots Liana and David Everything was good and delicious
Always love it here!
EDIT AT THE BOTTOM BECAUSE OF THE OWNERS RESPONSE. Normally I'm not someone to write reviews but my experience here was so bad it ended up partially ruining my monthly date night with my boyfriend, Wednesday the 27th March around 7-9 Pm. While the food was mediocre, and there was many loud clanking noises from behind the bar, and the spacing of the tables was very cramped- my biggest issue was with the service received from our server Xena(I believe that was her name). To start things off my boyfriend ordered a Buffalo Mac and cheese while I ordered a Buffalo Mac and cheese requesting the buffalo sauce be swapped for pesto, the fried cheese curds, and two milkshakes. We each took our turns ordering and there should have been no confusion with the order. The waitress returns to our table with our cheese curds and let's us know that she made mistake and Input the wrong item so the kitchen had instead prepared a Buffalo poutine with my pesto modification and asks if we'd like it free of charge. Seeing as it was just a small mistake at the time, we accepted and agreed to wait until the rest of our food was made (pesto on Buffalo poutine was not the most palatable, but mistakes happen). Fast forward a bit, and she arrives with one Mac and cheese and states it's the buffalo mac. We're missing one macaroni dish and just assume it's been delayed because of the poutine mishap. So we wait, and we wait, and we wait until she comes to check up on us and I ask her how long the second macaroni and cheese is going to be. Turns out she misunderstood our order and thought there was only one that we would share, even though my boyfriend and I were pretty clear. We also ask when we will get our shakes, and she says they should be out soon. At this point it's been 40+ minutes since we initially ordered everything, two milkshakes do not take 40+ minutes on a relatively non busy night and arrive after everything else- and I'm convinced she forgot to input that as well. She also cleared away the poutine plate and took my boyfriend's fork with it. We get our milkshakes not long after, and as the first Mac and cheese goes cold and dies we wait for my pasta. We get the pasta eventually and my boyfriend has to ask for another fork. Another fork that she says she'll bring and then walks away, and surprise she never brings it. We watch her wander around right after saying she'll be right back with it too. We eventually ask another waiter and he immediately brings one in under 20 seconds. We finished eating, but since on of our food has since gone cold. The night sort of feels ruined, our appetite is gone so we ask for our stuff to go and leave after paying. I understand mistakes happen, the issue that it was one mistake after another in order and ultimately ruined our experience, which is ultimately a shame as my boyfriend has been here before and had not encountered these issues so I suppose it was just our luck with the server. Edit/Response to the Owner: I see the owner has responded to this review, and respectfully, if you have difficulty understanding something as simple as "Can I replace this sauce for this other sauce" after your customers take turns ordering, perhaps you should not be in food service. I'm sure most other people have the ability comprehend "can I have x instead of y". I also am sure that most people also understand that when one person says "I'll have this item" and the next person says "I will actually have one of those too" it means they EACH want one. "I know I can't understand what you ordered" goes crazy. It's actually kind of funny because it not only makes me doubt your customer service skills, but also your intelligence. But I digress, not everyone is capable of basic comprehension and I suppose I should be more tolerant of the mentally ungifted. Additionally, trust me, Olivia Rodrigo playing did not make your place busy lol. I have eyes. "Jokes" aside, what a sneaky little way of offloading responsibility onto the customer instead of taking accountability for what was simply just bad service.
Absolutely brilliant. Can't say enough good things about it. We walked in on a Wednesday evening and had immediately received a warm welcome from Adrian. He was super helpful with talking us through the different options on the menu and advising us what we might like - both with the food and especially when talking my partner through the vast selection of beers. The burgers were amazing - I genuinely can't remember having a better one anywhere else. Top class sweet potato fries as well, and I highly recommend the coleslaw; it was unlike anything I'd had elsewhere, and not drowning in mayo like you get in so many places. Overall, absolutely top marks. Can't fault it in any way. Even the music was great. In fact, I do have one complaint: that there's only one of them. Normally this would be a massive plus point as I always want to support independents, but I'd happily make an exception for these if it means they open a branch in Liverpool in the UK!
Really nice place, I got a waygu burger and it was out of this world. They also serve a really tasty cocktail called the "Queen Bee." The staff were friendly, and service was quick. Would definitely visit again
Great lunch special at fantasic prices. The burger bar lemonade is a must try!
Excellent place to have GOOD burgers. I asked for the doble patty with poutine, instead of French fries aside. Delicious. And a Sangria to drink. Nice place to have lunch or dinner. Excellent service. I recommend it a lot. Not expensive either.
It was fancier than I expected. The service was excellent and very attentive. The beer, smash burger and poutine were both delicious.
Great food. Burgers are solid, fries good, neighborhood is a bar scene on weekends.
Long story short, BBQ burger was super dry and gave me horrible food poisoning, the rest of my trip I was violently vomiting. Waste of $22 but bartender was nice
Amazing food
Absolutely love this place when I want a great burger this is where I want to go
The absolute worst restaurant ever. The service was incredibly rude.Tourist trap, overcrowded, and the food is terrible. In response to your response: No, I will not give you a second chance. To all people reading this: if you want to avoid a restaurant where you will be disrespected, then avoid at all costs.
I think the second best burger I ever had. The first being from a dream I had
The best place to visit with friends. The food is always fresh, the personnel is amazing and always ready to suggest the best drink for your order. 👌
Really great spot for burgers. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed. Dining room clean and comfortable. Waitstaff very helpful and nice. Drinks and desserts are great too.
Stopped in for a bite while in town Probably the best smash burger I’ve had in a while (BBQ smash w pickled jalapeños and caramelized onions) Everything from top to bottom bun was perfect 10/10 for flavour and textures I didn’t put the sandwich down once A must try if you love burgers and are in the area. Will definitely return every time I visit MTL
As a first experience at Burger Bar Crescent, I was pleasantly surprised by the food and the service. The burgers are delicious!
We stopped by around 8:30 pm for drinks and dessert as the restaurant was winding down. Unfortunately, it felt like our table was being avoided, and after waiting for some time without service, we decided to leave.
Nice food, cozy atmosphere and tasty beer
Absolutely loved this place, finally found a place in Montreal with real French fries and not those damn cavendish knock offs. I had the Nordiqes (mostly because I have been a die hard Nordiques fan my whole life and couldn’t resist). I had no idea Quebec had their own wagyu beef! I was not disappointed, it was amazing. All 4 of us had a different burger and we all loved it! Will definitely return on my next visit to Montreal!
