Good spot for a quick lunch. The rice-based bowl with grilled beef is my favorite, and service is pretty fast. Solid option if you're on a tight break at/near the Complexe Desjardins
Reviews / Ratings for Bun Cha Cha
We got the grilled chicken Ramen, which was mentioned to be their popular chicken dish. The chicken was as dry as a tree bark and the broth was extremely oily. When we gave this feedback to the counter staff, all they said was yes we know, its because the chicken is left in the broth all day. They know the quality is bad and they will do nothing about it. Very disappointed so had to post a review since there is nothing else we can do.
It's the only place in this food court that had Ramen, and I really wanted some kind of noodle soup dish so I thought I would give it a try. I ordered the Tori Paitan Ramen with honey chicken. The chicken broth had good flavor and the noodles had a decent texture, but everything else was disappointing. I couldn't taste any sweetness or honey flavor in the "honey chicken". I honestly wondered if they made a mistake and just gave me plain grilled chicken instead. The chicken was dry and the only flavor I could taste was "burnt food". The egg did not seem to be marinated; it was flavorless. If you aren't pressed for time and are willing to walk a few blocks, there are much better Ramen options in other restaurants and other food courts. I don't know why some of the other reviews claimed the Ramen here was good. I don't recommend it. I guess I should have expected it to be disappointing since they really are a banh mih place instead (but for Banh Mih I rather go to Chinatown for more authentic, traditional, and cost effective options). I don't think I will be returning to this place. UPDATE: I took a quick look at some other photos in other reviews and I suspect they didn't even get my order correct. I ordered the honey chicken and I highly suspect they gave me the plain grilled chicken (which is awful and tasted only like burnt food with no seasoning and was extremely dry). Since they didn't even get my order correct (it was my first time trying them so I couldn't be sure until I saw some other reviews' photos), and the food was still disappointing, I definitely do not recommend it. Also, I went ahead of the lunch rush. There was no line in front of me or behind me when I ordered, and the person before me ordered a banh mih and my ramen order was ready before the next person after me even made an order, so there is no excuse for getting my order wrong when they were not even busy.
Service is very nice , I like and respect this restaurant 👍👍👍👍🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦❤️❤️❤️
Delicious Vietnamese vermicelli noodles, vegetables, and chicken. Very satisfying. The only thing missing was the peanuts.
