Fun restaurant in old town Very popular with locals and great value for food portions Can get very busy
What guests say about Buffet de L'antiquaire
A highly appreciated restaurant for its breakfasts and traditional Québécois cuisine, with comforting, hearty dishes that are often considered tasty. The service is often described as fast, attentive, and friendly, although some customers have experienced delays, order mistakes, or inconsistent استقبال. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, but the place can be busy and sometimes a bit cramped. The value for money is generally seen as good, despite a few more disappointed reviews about the quality of some dishes.

I love this place! It has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were wonderful, and the food was absolutely amazing! We were very happy and completely satisfied with both the service and the incredible meal. We’ll definitely be coming back whenever we visit Quebec City again.
For $20, I got a super filling breakfast with a lot of protein. My waitress was fantastic and I loved sitting in the outdoor patio
Friendly service with a varied Canadian menu. The food came out in a timely manner, portions were good, and it was tasty. Prices are decent.
Went here after visiting the nearby museum. We had to wait about 10-15 minutes for a table, but then were pleasantly surprised to get a table upstairs near a window where it was nice and toasty on a chilly day. Food was great. My only two issues were they put way too much mustard on my burger, and my daughter's bacon was overcooked (to the point it was too hard to eat).
Great food, great people and really reasonable prices
The shepherd’s pie and accompanying sides were pretty tasteless. Felt like I was eating hospital cafeteria food. Not a great sign when one is paying $28 all in.
Good food and very friendly staff. Has something anyone would enjoy
We found this gem on our way out of Quebec City and wish we had found it on day one as we would have had breakfast here every day! Fabulous!
The best breakfast of all times!! Especially the home fries, they just melt in your mouth !! Loved it!!
Stumbled upon this spot because it was close to our hotel, and we’re glad we did. I ordered the soup of the day, a cheeseburger, and poutine — everything was delicious. The best part was that it didn’t cost an arm and a leg like many places in the area. We were also served by a lovely lady named Kathy who was warm and friendly. Twice after, we ordered takeout, and because the place was packed (outside sitting was closed), my kids and I were asked to wait outside. Not ideal, though I understood the space limitations. Still a must try!
Stumbled across this place. Poutine was amazing.
This very popular restaurant serves excellent food. We had to queue 45 minutes for a table on a public holiday. It was worth it!

Came here for breakfast. I don’t usually write reviews but I was really disappointed giving the overwhelmingly positive comments here. The food was fine, but nothing incredible - definitely not worth the wait. There was always a significant lineup from the time we arrived to when we finished, but much of this seemed to be do to inefficiency in their seating process - while we were waiting, with many people ahead of us and no one having been seated for a while, we counted at least two four-person tables and five two-person tables sitting empty. The mugs had a very worn look/feel to them, and my wife had to send hers back because it was quite dirty, which turned me off my coffee. Some of my cutlery was also dirty. Staff was pleasant enough.
Simple, to-the-point diner with a pleasant ambience. Taste-wise everything was decent, but our waitress was quite off-putting; she was very friendly to the table next to us but clearly standoffish towards us. Couldn’t help but feel like it was racially motivated but what do I know. Left with a bad taste in my mouth. Potatoes were also undercooked.
Amazing food and friendly service!
So good, we went back a second time during our short 3 day visit. I highly recommend visiting.
Brilliant little Canadian diner in Quebec Cite. Food is very good, portions large and prices reasonable. Everyone who works there are super friendly too.
Very authentic place, incredible food and nice service. Fair prices and quality.
Blonde waitress got both our orders wrong and had attitude when I was asking for certain options removed from my dish. Also got the wrong eggs in another dish
Absolutely fantastic, wide range of menu items, excellent service, very friendly, GREAT food and awesome poutine and a LOT of choices! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Fantastic menus, and then warm
Lovely dinner in old Quebec Great prices and service Delicious meal too
I ordered an omelette with mushrooms. It came with potatoes and toast on the side. I also added a meat pie. The flavors were quite plain and home-style, nothing refined or impressive.
