Awesome atmosphere, great service, and tremendous food with a solid beer selection. The pub has charming old Irish décor, and you can tell it has a loyal following lots of repeat customers that really add to the warm, local vibe. They also have fantastic live music on weekends. There’s a huge yet cozy upstairs space that’s perfect if you’re going with a group of 10 or more. While the beers are good, Montreal has so many incredible breweries that they’re not quite at that level …some felt slightly watered down. That said, we ordered three starters and all of them were excellent, especially the chicken wings tossed in their special spicy sauce. Definitely a must-visit spot if you’re downtown.
Had the pleasure of hanging out with the crew of Brutopia while I was in downtown Montreal visiting. This is a super great spot if you like craft beer, local entertainment, and a laid back chill environment. The only improvement I can think of is that my tacos were a bit overcooked and dry. Other than that small misstep this place is wonderful and I will be back! Thank Brutopia crew!
Wonderful hole-in-the-wall with strong vibes.
Sunday mic night was awesome! Also a great variety of music playing throughout the day.
Prefect cozy place for a Friday night! 🍻
I was fortunate to find this cozy little bar when I was in Montreal recently. I was looking for a brew pub to try out some local beers and Brutopia left me very satisfied. The New England IPA was my favourite, but I also enjoyed the Green Phantom Ale (actually green) and the La Duchesses IPA. Furthermore, the food was tasty AND inexpensive. We enjoyed the Nachos, but the home made BBQ sauce that came with the hot wings was uniquely delicious.
One of the best Brew/Bars downtown for Beer enthusiasts. Whole friend group who isn't crazy about beer all loved it, homebrewed goodness, very good cider and can't recommend the poutine enough 🔥
Best bar ever
Cracking atmosphere with a live band, was quite loud so hard to talk especially when the place is busy but really lovely atmosphere to be around so many others. Good selection of beers made on site at their brewery, some other drinks other than beers you can have too but you go for the beer. A good visit if you want a drink.
Live music was good, their microbrews are always fresh and delicious!
The staff is lit!! Love them all!
This is a solid spot to stop in for a quick pint and some genuinely good beer. We dropped by on Saturday before a concert at the Bell Centre and were pleasantly surprised. Service was fast, and there was plenty of space when we walked in. I had the nut brown ale, which was smooth and well balanced. My wife went with the West Coast IPA and enjoyed it just as much. Two beers for $20 isn’t bad for downtown Montreal, especially on Crescent Street. They offer around a dozen house-brewed beers on tap, along with a few guest taps. Overall, a reliable place to grab a beer before an event.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS - DO NOT GO IF YOU'RE A GIRL ALONE!!! There's a super creepy bartender upstairs, white guy with a short trimmed beard that gets drunk while working, then he will pressure you into trying to get you drunk by giving you free drinks while acting super sexual and creepy... but as soon as you say you're not interested he gets hostile, rude and then tries to charge you for the drinks he said he would give you for free!! THIS PLACE IS NOT SAFE FOR WOMEN AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Still worthwhile place to visit to see old faces.
Was a open mic on Sunday night. Great music and great service.
First pub in Canada I’ve ever been into . Great place . Lovely raspberry blonde and great staff 🍻 🇨🇦
A great pub with live music, friendly vibe, good beer, downtown, charming old Victorian building
Cozy little brewery in Montreal! We were here for the day and stopped in to have a local beer and the pulled pork poutine. Was top tier. The bar tender was friendly and it was nice to talk to some locals at the bar. Was a very warm and inviting atmosphere especially with it being so cold outside. A full bar, small tables, and a little stage inside. Wish we got to see some live music, maybe next time. Overall, great beer and poutine!
