The Blueberry belgian waffle was crispy on the outside and filled with blueberries - yum. The 'real' Maple syrup is extra but you are in Vermont so it's the only way to go. Bacon was thin and crispy, my favorite style and the coffee was good. I'd love to see them offer real whipped cream as an add on for the waffle and it would be nice to see their biscuits as an optional side as well. Service was great. This place is smallish so I do suggest going during 'in-between" hours, I arrived at 10:45 and had a good choice of tables. Yes - worth the mileage even with today's gas prices.
Reviews / Ratings for Brown Cow Restaurant
Jay peak brought us to Newport. Ski conditions sucked, but this breakfast at the brown cow totally redeemed the trip. Can’t recall having a breakfast I liked more anywhere. Had the brown cow potato skillet with eggs and toast (made with thick homemade bread) on the side. The bread was so good. We bought a full loaf to take home. Bloody outstanding.
Absolutely amazing! Like the whole place is super cute and to die for.
If you're ever in the Newport area the Brown Cow restaurant is the place to go. The people are very friendly and professional. The food is great and the prices are low.
