Brasserie Bernard provides a wonderfully cozy and sophisticated French atmosphere. Their steak frites is absolutely phenomenal, featuring perfectly cooked, juicy meat and crispy fries. The service is incredibly prompt and the staff always maintains a very friendly and welcoming attitude.

This place has an amazing atmosphere. The timing of of food was not great. The service 10 stars for noticing. Marco was the best server!
Had a wonderful evening Saturday at BB. I agree with other reviewers who say they feel they've stepped into a real Parisian establishment. You do feel you are entering another world and time. It is both an exciting and relaxing experience. I was with 6 friends and it was the first time for all of us. Everyone was very satisfied and happy with their meals. I had the Dore (fish lightly fried in pan) and it was prepared well. I think they could be a bit more generous with the celeriac puree; green beans were perfectly cooked. Very nice if you want a very light meal. Others at the table had the duck confit; chicken; a salad; mussels and steak frites. I think the steak was the winner. The fries looked just like the photos on google reviews site so if you like your fries dark (indicating over cooked or reused oil) then you might forgo all dishes with fries or ask for a salad I would have wanted to order the fish and chips but was worried about the fries so that's why I didn't. However those who did have the fries ate them all up with no complaints. They were generous with the time. We arrived at 5 pm and told us we had the table until 9 pm! We had tickets to concert across the street so only stayed until about 7:30 but that was nice to have no pressure. Wait staff are all very nice, attentive and efficient. One of the best services I've had. I would say second only to Mon Lapin. One thing I felt the plate server put the dishes very close to the edge of the table so that each time part of the plate was sitting beyond the table. To be fair I think the tables are too narrow so it's hard if you have a lot of drinks/glasses to fit the plates. But I did notice it and was a bit disturbed by it. It would be nice if they provided a basket of bread. They don't do that automatically but I saw another table get it. So don't know if they forgot about it or you have to request and pay. For instance the person with the mussels could have used the bread to sop up some of that nice sauce. But they have cloth napkins which is so nice and luxurious. BTW the person who ordered the Mussels wanted the marinara and got the leek and cheese. She didn't want to send it back and still enjoyed it. All the desserts looked great. The Pavlova looked like a piece of art. I had the Profiteroles and they were tasty. Nice chocolate sauce with ice cream. Very generous portion. One person said her creme brulee wasn't warm but the other person who had it said it was fine. The decaf coffee was so so. They don't provide cream/sugar so you have to ask. People who had the house wine enjoyed it. Washrooms are nice (individual rooms) with hot water! So often nowadays you only get cold water. All in all there are a lot of nice touches at BB. BB haven't sacrificed service or quality (with a few minor caveats) like so many restaurants have done these days. It's a relief to know restaurants of this calibre are still around.
Once again had a great dinner at Brasserie Bernard, this time a group of 8 with kids and grand-parents. We often go with our young child or just the two of us and it's always good.
A great place, good ambience, friendly
As a first timer to this restaurant, I was immediately impressed when we were warmly greeted at the door by a perfectly bilingual individual. Our table was being prepared when we arrived and were seated when ready. We ordered drinks first. I had an Espresso Martini and my husband had IPA ber on tap. Beer is not difficult to serve but a martini should be in a martini glass. Thus was not. Since I am not a big drinker, it was enough, but wow was it small. There was definitely seemed like less than 2oz of liquor. Won't do that again. We then ordered our mains: a burger for the husband and I had the steak and fries. Service was pretty quick, considering how busy it was on a Wednesday. The steak arrived first. It was served with mayo for the fries and a pepper corn sauce for the steak. The steak was delicious. Perfection. Perfectly cooked to med/rare. The only issue I had, was that the fries were greasy and not hot. According to my husband, the burger was the best one he has ever eaten. His fries were also only luke warm. For dessert we shared the warm chocolate cake served with vanilla ice cream. Wow..how rich. Service was amazing. When our waiters shift was over, in the middle of our service, he came over, let us know and assured us that we would be well taken care of. Antoine, thank you for everything. You're the best. Would we go back? For sure.
This place made a great impression on us. It was easy to place our order, the team was friendly throughout, and the food tasted great. The vibe inside was enjoyable and comfortable. Looking forward to coming back and exploring more menu items.
We came to celebrate Mother’s Day with our whole family and everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The service was amazing the entire night, so a huge thank you to Marco for making the experience so special! :)
Never disappoints. Great food, vibe and 1st class service
Incredible Parisian ambiance, the food and service are exceptional. Bravo!! Absolutely fantastic evening.
Amazing food, extremely high quality! Chicken was perfectly cooked. Mashed potatoes were delicious. Highly recommended!
I totally enjoy my meal at the Brasserie Bernard which is located at the former Les Moulerie restaurant location. They actually had some mussels and fries offer on the menu as a reminder of the former Moulerie restaurant. WOW! I had the best moules marinières in my life - fatty from Prince Édouard Island. And the serving bowl of mussels was huge. Fries were OK. We drank a really good burgundy wine to go along all my friends’ plates.
Some nice drinks at this place. I visited last weekend with my girlfriend and we had a good time. The drinks are affordable and the snacks are tasty too. The vibe at the place was chill and we could have a conversation. The service was also nice and friendly.
So good! Start to finish this place is fantastic. The only strange thing is they tell you when you need to leave...
Great French Brasserie dining experience. I was there with my elderly parents and they were particularly accomodating. Lovely service. Will go back.
Marco is the best waiter !!!!!!!
Everything was 100% except for the fact that we were sitting way to close to the table on both sides of my wife and I . I could reach over and take a french fry. Besides that it was great.
Best steak frites around. 10 on 10 experience!
This was our first time at Brasserie Bernard. It was a great experience overall. The ambiance is very pleasant and the restaurant is roomy so very comfortable for a couple or a larger group. We were there when it was full and we had no problem having a conversation. The service was very friendly and attentive with many people serving you throughout out the night. Finally the food was excellent (the fried calamari and onion soup were great as well as our steaks. A friend said it was one of the best cheeseburgers she ever had). The desserts were lovely (pudding chomeur and lemon tart).
Super !!
It was a nice restaurant with great service, they spoke French but also spoke English! The food was great, between all of us, we got to try many of the dishes which were all great as well! Loved it. Thank you Brasserie Bernard!!
Great food, friendly service, wonderful ambience. The menu is varied, but not too large. All of the dishes we tried are well-executed, but some are a bit better than others. The poached salmon was my dish and it was very good, but not outstanding. The steak frites was good, but not quite worth the price. The service was friendly, but a tad slow once the dining room filled up. What was outstanding was the ravioli, the duck, the chicken, and the french onion soup. Dessert was also incredible, with my chocolate pear pavlova being among the best things I have ever ordered at a restaurant. Come to this brasserie for a special occasion and an empty stomach. You will not be disappointed.
Very good night at brasserie Bernard, food was delicious and the ambience is warm and romantic. Had the amazing escargot gratiné, melt in my mouth. And had the canard, amazing flavour profile with the sweet sauce. Great steak and frites. Server was super nice , offered us complimentary mousseline after order confusion. Highly recommend this one! Felt like i was in Paris again.
Always a pleasant culinary experience.
Went here with my Girlfriend on Valentines day and I have to say I really enjoyed it. The food was amazing although I would've like to have better options for the starters but everything else was amazing. Service was excellent. Will definitely be back!!!
