Atmosphere was amazing. We loved the music as well. Waiters we very nice as well. We liked food as well. Barbecue souce in burger was so sweet though which can not be for everyone though.
Amazing cocktails, friendly staff, and a stylish, standout interior. Really appreciated the thoughtful safety sign in the washroom, it says a lot about the place. Well done.
Service was terribly slow - they realized 30mins after i ordered that they forgot my drink, and after another 20mins i ended up cancelling

Had such a great night at Bootlegger. The vibe is exactly what you want from a speakeasy, low lighting, great music, and just an overall cool atmosphere without trying too hard. Big shoutout to our server Remus, who honestly made the whole experience. He wasn’t just taking orders, he took the time to explain the drinks, share some of the history behind them, and help us pick things we’d actually enjoy. You can tell he really knows his stuff and cares about what he’s doing, which made a huge difference. Everything from the cocktails to the ambiance was on point. Definitely one of the best spots I’ve been to in Montreal lately. Would 100% go back.

An exceptional and truly authentic experience at Bootlegger Dining Experience with Remus. From start to finish, everything was outstanding- easily a 10 out of 10. The cocktails were exceptional, and the entire evening felt beautifully curated and deeply immersive. What truly set this experience apart was the service. Remus struck the perfect balance- attentive without ever being intrusive. Our wine and cocktails were always perfectly timed, and he took the time to thoughtfully explain each dish, adding depth to the experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better evening. It exceeded every expectation.

Did not like the attitude of the staff, they were talking behind our back thinking we don’t understand the language. They weren’t really helpful about what is included or not in the happy hour and to top it up they advertise for oysters but they had none due to a contamination they say. But hey! The day before I had delicious oysters at bar darling
Had a fantastic time at bootlegger on a friday night! Easy to get a reservation, music was great, drinks were delicious, and the pulled pork nachos were the best nachos we’ve ever had! Would definitely come back.

Exquisite place. Their signature cocktails are daring, but there's something for everyone's taste. While they're known for their absinthe offerings, their selection of Scotch is outstanding. Ranging from "the great ones" to downright unique. The Bootlegger burger is attractively priced for the gourmet quality you're getting.

Remus, the goat. I asked, he answered. From recommending +SS tier drinks (apple-pie old fashion = #1 drink in my life) to dropping elite bombs of knowledge, this place did not let us down for my buddies bachelor party. Thank you Remus you beast. Steve

lovely absinthe, although the qr code menus somewhat kill the old-timey theme they have going on. the dj was quite good. indoors smoking would go great for this place
Went for some cocktails on my birthday, the staff and cocktails were perfect! We had so much fun and enjoyed them crafting our cocktails right infront of us. Will definitely go again and recommend to friends visiting Montreal.
Probably the best drink I've had in a while
It was truly an amazing experience. We were just walking by, not knowing what to expect, and we ended up walking up a bookshelf-themed spiral staircase, then through curtains, into this immersive speakeasy. Despite not having a reservation, they were able to take us in. Live music was playing (I will say, it was a little loud), but the waiter still was extremely attentive and actually lowered himself so he could be able to talk to us and hear us. I was unsure of what to have, but he was very patient and said something along the lines of he will help me find my happiness or something like that. It felt like he really cared for me to have something I would like. The others in my party said they had the best old fashions they had ever had, and the food was amazing! Instead of fries, they were actual potatoes. They catered to my allergy - even excluding that ingredient from the spinach salad for me, it was still amazing - and that was just the sides! I do wish they had more chicken/vegetarian items but that seemed more across the board for all of montreal, but i still enjoyed what i had. We would 100% go back next time we are there!
Great time at happy hours (5-7pm) on Sunday. Much quieter than usual, staff is also more available, and the 1$ oyster deal is soooooo worth it. I'll def come back at that time!
Oysters, foie gras and top notch mixology added to friendly staff and no screens made the evening very enjoyable.
