The food was very disappointing and lacked flavour. We ordered masala dosa and vada dosa, but unfortunately, the sambar was particularly disappointing.. Overall, it was not a pleasant dining experience..

Haven’t been back to Bombay Mahal in a while, and the ambiance hasn't changed—mostly because it feels like half the dining room is being used as a warehouse. Furniture layout aside, the food remains decent. The dosa is easily the highlight of the meal and a solid bet, while the rest of the menu is just okay.

Went with some friends because I’d been craving thali for a while, and unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. The rice didn’t taste fresh, and the curries lacked the depth and flavor I was expecting they tasted more like they had been sitting for a while. The service could also have been more attentive. Overall, I was hoping for a fresher and more flavorful experience

butter chicken is perfect! rice, samosas, nan, and papadam here is the best!!!! i love all the thalis too, great staff, they're all welcoming, friendly & warm. well organized also! we appreciate that their bathroom on main floor is always clean! we are looking forward to their move, hope will be new place & modern!

I’ve been a loyal customer here for years and their butter chicken has always been my favourite, which is exactly why this was so disappointing. The last order we got was clearly spoiled. The moment we opened the container at home, the smell was unmistakable. I called the restaurant to explain and they offered to replace it, as long as I came to pick it up myself. When I got there, the owner had me taste the good sauce, which I recognized right away, to confirm it was fine before going back to the kitchen for fresh containers. Once I was home, I opened them and realized he had given me the same old stock back. It looked like they had barely bothered to cut the old sauce with a bit of fresh sauce… it still smelled of soured cream. They just lost a loyal customer. Very disappointed.

I spent around $47 on food for my toddlers, but unfortunately, I received only about $10 worth of food that was extremely spicy and very poor in quality and did not received as per description in the menu online. The food did not seem freshly prepared and appeared to be old, pre-prepared food of poor quality. I had specifically mentioned in the Uber Eats order notes that the food was for my toddlers, but my request was completely ignored. Overall, I am very disappointed with the quality, quantity, and service. I would not recommend this restaurant and will not be ordering from here again. Very unsatisfied with my experience. Thank you.

I have bought here for many years and its sad to say quality is going down. The onion bahj have always been good but the tikka masala is gone from amazing to tasteless the past few times i have ordered. All it taste is the heat spicy and sadly the real spices like cardamom are not present no more. Tonight i also had the most dried chicken possible and this had never happened. i ll probably switch back to maison indian curry next order.

Best and freshest Indian in the city for a very reasonable price. Still the best, the other franchise locations have changed the recipes too much and aren't as good (the only good one was on de Maisonneuve which no longer exists, sad). It would be nice if they renovated the inside a bit but it doesn't take away from the delicious food.
